Arias p.o.v.
I see his face sadden. Hurt and betrayal fill his blue eyes.
"What did you guys talk about?" He asks sadly. I run over and hug him. I wrap my legs around him and he supports me by wrapping his hands around my thighs.
"I just told him the situation.. I told him about the baby and he told me when he can get out." I say. My breath starts getting weary and I feel horribly guilty.
"When can he get out?" He asks. I begin crying.
"I think he was lying but he said 3 years." I cry into his shoulder. He hugs me tighter as he carries me up to the bedroom. He lies me down on the bed and falls next to me.
"Baby it's okay. I'll be here..." He whispers. My emotions went into overdrive.
"No. No Hayes... You won't. You'll be gone. You're going to be on the coast guard and I'll be left alone with my new baby. You're going to leave me and I'll be alone." I say. He grabs my waist and pulls me into him.
"Baby. I'll only be gone for a year and a half. You'll be okay! I'll never leave you baby, calm down. Shhhh... You'll be okay. You have Haley and Taylor. I'm sure Nash will come and so will Cam. You won't be alone. Baby you'll be okay. I love you so much." He soothes. My crying slows.
"I'm so sorry. I know I should have told you. I was scared. I love you." I reply.
"It's alright baby. It'll be okay. I love you so much. Goodnight."
He kisses my head an I eventually fall asleep.
The next night
Hayes and I took a lazy day. He gets 7 break days and he decided this was going to be one of them. Now, I'm currently getting on a pair of leggings and a sweater. We were going to a pre-Halloween party at Nash's house and I was super excited. Hayes grabs my hand as we walk to the car. The breeze was chilly but it wasn't cold yet. Clouds covered the sky which make it even colder. It was about 6:30 when we left. The party was at 7. Nash no longer lived near us. He got a house about a month back. This was the first party at the new house-or should I say mansion. We arrive about 15 minutes early.
"Aria! Hayes... How's the baby going?" Nash asks. I roll my eyes playfully.
"Nash, I'm like one month pregnant." I say. He shrugs. "Now where's sky... I haven't seen her in forever." I say, looking around. Nash smiles.
"She's inside with Michaela. Go in and see her. I'm sure she'll be hyped." He says. I walk inside and see Skylynn.
"Sky!" I scream. She whips around toward me.
"Aria!" She yells back with excitement. She runs over and hugs me.
"How old are you now?" I ask. She smiles up at me.
"11. How's the whole pregnancy thing going?" She asks.
"Wow... You're old. And it's going fine I guess." I smile. We begin talking. She tells me about her 4th grade boyfriend and her new REAL horse. Hayes rubs my leg as we sit on the couch.
"Aria? I thought that was you!" Michaela yells from the kitchen. I turn towards her.
"Yea! It's me!" I get up and Skylynn runs away. Hayes follows me to the kitchen. "How are things with you and Nash?" I ask. She blushes and smiles.
"Can I tell you a secret? Don't tell anybody I told you..." She whispers. She gives Hayes a look and he goes outside. She holds out her left hand. I gasp.
"You're engaged?!" I ask excitedly. She nods her head happily.
"We have been for about 2 months and he's going to tell everyone tonight." She rambles. I hug her.
"I'm so excited! Hayes and I have been engaged for a while... Now we have to postpone the wedding until after the baby is born..." I say. She smiles at me as we continue talking. We walk outside and I see that Cameron has arrived. Nash, Cam and Hayes are standing in a circle. We walk over and hayes immediately wraps his arms around my waist. He plants a small kids on my head. I smile as the boys begin talking about sports or something. Hayes slowly rubs my stomach softly as we stand. I see more people arrive.
"HAYLOR!" I scream. She runs toward me and we meet in a hug. She immediately hold me tight as Taylor follows. He starts laughing at the old ship name that was once trending on Twitter. Haley pulls away from me and stares at my stomach. Suddenly she lifts up my shirt and stares at my stomach. I pull my sweater down and blush profusely.
"COME ON! I need to see this little belly. I know you've only been pregnant for 1 month and 6 days but I need to check your progress." She jokes.
"You counted?!" I ask. She nods her head and gives me a "duh, what else would I have done" look. I smile and shake my head. She begins throwing questions at me. "What are the names you have? When are you due? How are you handling this? I'm so excited for you!" She rambles.
"Haley! I'm fine. I'll tell you all about it." I smile. She nods here head quickly. Taylor swings his arm around her shoulder. He smiles down to her already smiling face. They lock eyes and he grabs her hand. I smile at the two. I see Shawn come out alone. I smile at him. He returns the favor but Cameron calls him over. I laugh as he talks about how he needs a girlfriend. A few more kids show up with their parents, mainly Elizabeth's friends, and join us in the backyard.
"Who's ready for a HAYRIDE?!" Elizabeth and Johnnie yell from the tractor. All of the kids immediately run over. Hayes walks over and grabs my hand. He smiles childishly and leads me to the tractor. He lifts me up and we sit. Johnnie drives on the trail though the woods. We talk about everything. I tell Haley about the baby. Taylor and Haley talk about their new Lake house. Everything just falls into place. I smile at the thought of the life I've created.
"Everyone is like your attention." Nash says. Everyone falls quiet and Johnnie stops the tractor.
"Nash and I..." She starts. They smile longingly at each other.
"Are engaged." He finishes. Elizabeth jumps up and hugs Michaela. I scream out in joy at her reaction and they both begin tearing up.
"I always knew it was coming!" She says as her tears calm. Michaela and Elizabeth hug and talk about future wedding plans.
Of course their wedding was going to be before ours because of the baby. I join in the conversation and throw in ideas. We talk and talk until Johnnie pulls back into the backyard.
"Campfire time ladies and gents!" He smiles. People scatter around the yard. Some head towards the food shed and many of the kids play in the open yard. Hayes and I follow Cameron to the campfire. Hayes grabs a lawn chair and sits down.
"Thanks for getting me one!" I joke sarcastically. He rolls his eyes playfully and pulls me into his lap.
"You're not fat yet so I must enjoy your time as my tiny baby." He whispers in my ear. I turn around to him and hit his chest lightly. I smile and he pulls me against him. Night was about to fall and I couldn't be happier.
You can't have a better tomorrow if you don't stop thinking about yesterday.
