Arias p.o.v.

Over the next few weeks, I scheduled a doctors appointment. I was going alone because Hayes couldn't get off of work. It was the day of the appointment and I was scared out of my mind. If this baby was Matthew's, I don't think I could bare Hayes's reaction. I shakily got out of the car, walking into the hospital. Today I left work about an hour early to get here and I barely made it through the work day.

"Name?" The lady asks, opening a tab on her computer.

"Whitham?" I ask as she scrolls through her feed.

"Aria?" She asks, opening up to something. I nod and she tells me to take a seat. I slowly walk over to a waiting chair. I see a small child, probably 4 or 5 playing with some Legos. I stare at the kid until he notices my glance. I quickly look away and begin staring at the doctors door.

"You can come play with my lengos if you want to." The kid says, coming up to my chair.

"Oh that's alright sweetie! I was just watching you play, I think I might be having a baby!" I say excitedly, smiling at him. He scrunches his forehead and stares at my stomach.

"But you're not fat enough to have a baby! I thought because when my mommy had a baby her belly was like a ballon!" He says, widening his eyes.

"Well... I just have to see if I really am pregnant first! I haven't gotten SUPER pregnant yet. BUT if I am pregnant, I will have a huge belly in a few months." I say, trying to explain it to him. He continues to be confused.

"Okay well I hope you have a good baby. I think it's name should be tryranasaurus wex." He says, smiling a little bit.

"Well I'm going to have to talk to my husband about that. I'll put it on my list." I smile, folding my hands together.

"Whitham?" The nurse asks, coming out of the door.

"Well I have to go sweetie! If you're still here I'll tell you if I'm having a baby okay?" He smiles and runs back to his "lengos", finishing his creation. I stand up and walk over to the nurse, following her down a stretch of halls. She leads me to a table bed, telling me to sit.

"Aria Whitam?" She asks, I nod as she does her nursey things. "You came to see if you were pregnant?" She asks, grabbing a clipboard off the counter.

"Yes..." I say. She nods.

"What makes you think you're pregnant?" She asks.

"Well I haven't been feeling well for the past few weeks or so and I realized that my period was late and it hasn't come since." I say. She scribbles down words in her notes.

"Okay. Did you take a pregnancy test?" She asks.

"Yes and it came out positive." I say, my hands sweating.

"Well turns out those things aren't very efficient. Most people come in here thinking that they aren't pregnant, or in this case are, and turns out the test was wrong. Do you have anymore observations or things I should know about?" She asks. I think and shake my head. "Okay well I'll be right back with Dr. Hanson okay?" She asks. I nod as she walks out of the room.

1 hour later

"So the results are in Miss Whitham." Dr. Hanson says, taking off his gloves.

"Really?" I ask, my heart rate increasing.

"Yes." He says, making me nervous. I nod for him to go on. "You are not pregnant." He says, making me relax a little bit. "I guess the symptoms were just a sickness!" He smiles, opening the door for me to leave. I walk back out to the waiting room, seeing the little boy still there.

"Hey buddy!" I say, walking over to him and the Legos.

"Did you see if you have a baby in your tummy?" He asks, smiling up at me.

"Nope! I don't bud! Maybe if I do have a baby though I'll name him tryranasaurus Rex?" I ask. He smiles and nods. I laugh.

"That would be good! But now I have to wait for my sister to get out of the hospital..." He says, his face going a little sadder.

"Why is she in here?" I ask, staring intently at him. He shrugs.

"My mommy was talking about her having a 'miscarriage' but I don't know what that means. All I know is that she has surgery to get the baby out of her belly." He says, a confused look on his face. I automatically feel horrible.

"She'll be alright okay sweetie? Oh and by the way I wanted to ask you your name before I left." I say, trying to change the conversation.

"My name is Caleb and I'm 4 and 3/4." He smiles holding up four fingers. I laugh.

"Okay Caleb. Maybe I'll see you another time?" I ask. He nods and goes back over to the toys. I make my way through the hospital and get into my car. I drive home and wait for Hayes. As I wait, my stomach starts feeling sick again. I run up the my bathroom and begin throwing up. I swear to god if the doctor was wrong-

"Honey?! What were the results?!" Hayes asks, running up the steps. I was about to answer him but I felt more throw up come up. He comes over to my and holds my hair back, rubbing my back with his free hand.

"I, I'm not pregnant but I have a feeling that he was wrong." I say, standing up. I wash my face off with a rag and throw my hair up into a pony tail.

"We'll see soon okay?" Hayes says. I nod. He presses me up against the counter and lies his head on my shoulder. I wrap my arms around his neck, making him pull me in for a hug.

"Hayes... I'm tired." I say, my head starting to hurt.

"Do you want me to get you anything? Soup and crackers maybe?" He asks, grabbing my chin. He moves his face in front of mine and looks into my eyes reassuringly.

"No, could you just lay with me?" I ask. He smiles and places a small kiss on my lips. He nods and carries me to the bed.

"Do you want to change?" He asks. I nod my head and get up, walking over to my closet. I pick out one of Hayes's baggy T-shirts and nothing else. I slide out of my jeans and work shirt and throw Hayes's shirt over my head. Hayes removes his work clothes and crawls into the bed next to me, pulling me in for a cuddle.

"Hayes?" I ask as he wraps his arms around my waist.

"Yes?" He asks, resting his head on my shoulder. My back pressed to his chest, making me not able to look at him.

"No matter what happens. If I am in fact pregnant, you will stay with me right?" I ask, my hands wrapping around his.

"Of course! I love you so much! And if this baby, if you have one, is Matthews, I will love it the same. It's our baby. I don't care if the father is Matthew!" He says, making my heart flutter.

"Okay. I-i love you so much." I say tangling our legs together. He smiles and kisses my neck lightly. With that I fall asleep, with a pounding headache and a sick stomach.

A week later

I hadn't gotten any better. I scheduled yet another doctors appointment. I waited in the waiting room for the doctor to come in. He arrives within a few minutes, sitting on his stool.

"So your question is, can you figure out who the babies father is before it is born? The answer is yes you can, you have to have a CVS. That would get the baby's chromosomes. You would also need a blood sample from at least one of the guys. But we are still working in the issue of if you are pregnant or not... Am I correct?" He asks. I nod.

"Yes sir. What is a cvs?" I ask, not quite understanding. He looks at me sadly.

"The problem with a CVS is that it might effect the babies growth. The CVS might cause a miscarriage..." He says. My heart pounds.

"So the CVS is just finding the father?" I ask. He nods. "Then I will just wait until it's born... Uhm how long will it take to get the pregnancy results?" I ask, I've been waiting here for about an hour.

"I'm having a nurse grab them for you right now." He states. As if on que, a nurse walks in with a folder. My hands starts shaking as he opens it up.

"I don't know what went wrong the last time you came in! The tests show positive... You're having a baby!"
