Chapter 11: Field of Flowers PT.2

DNF Story pt.2!
Context: Dream and George were just out with his sister  at the mall.

Once George and his sister, Kyra had reached home, George walked to the front door and opened it. He was greeted by his dad in the kitchen. George was surprised because his dad usually never cooked.

"Hey dad, what're you doing?"

"Oh hey kiddos, i'm just making dinner, mom had extra work to do today"

"Ohh, okay, so what are you cooking?"

"Spaghetti and meatballs!"

"Cool"

George was somewhat confused and concerned that his dad was cooking but he went with it. He walked up to his room and just sat on his bed, playing with his fingers for a while until he heard a buzz from his phone. He grabbed his phone and looked up at it, he had gotten a message from Dream.

Dream: hey!
George: hi hi
Dream: just wanted to say that i had fun w u today :D
George: me too
Dream: well from ur texts, it doesn't seem like it-
George: yk i always text like this
Dream: oh come on now
George: :)
Dream: u busy?
George: no, why
Dream: wanna ft?
George: sure, i'm down
Dream: aight, calling now

George swiped out of the messages app and waited for Dream to call him. After around 10 seconds, he saw the tab that Dream was calling. He tapped on it and answered.

"Hey Georgie"

"Stop calling me that! Also hi Dream"

"I won't stop~"

"I hate you"

"Yeah yeah okay, anyways how are you"

"Well considering that I'm talking to you, i'm alright I guess"

"Um excuse me. How dare you" Dream says sarcastically

George laughs a bit

For Dream, time kind of just stops, seeing George's big smile and his laugh was mesmerizing. Dream slightly smiles a bit. George notices and questions him.

"Hm, why're you smiling"

"Oh, no reason"

"Mhm, tell me"

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

"Ugh fine, I just thought of something funny"

"No you didn't, you're lying"

"Whatever"

"Tell me Dream"

"No.."

"Why, you embarrassed"

"Yes"

"Pfft, well now I need to know"

"Dude fine, I just liked ur smile okay"

George turned extremely red and kind of just froze. After a while he got back to reality and realized what Dream had just said.

"Wait what"

"I told you it's embarrassing"

"No it's not! It's cute honestly, glad to know I have a nice smile~" George teased

Dream rolled his eyes and smiled. They talked for a while more until George had to go, They said bye to each other and hung up the call. George walked past the hallway, he heard talking from his sisters room so he listened from the outside. He faintly heard heard her say "Alright, I gotta go, love you". George's eyes widened. He knocked on the door and called Kyra out for dinner. "Kyra, dinners ready" He shouted. "Alright, i'm coming". George walked past the door and went downstairs, he was thinking about his sister saying "I love you" to someone. His thoughts then got interrupted by his dad handing him a plate of food.

George took a seat and took a fork out. His dad was looking at him, waiting for him to try it. George was nervous but took a bite out of it. To his surprise, it was actually really good. His face said it all, George's dad smiled. "So you like it?" He asked. "Heck yeah! Thats some good spaghetti dad!" George answered. Once his sister came downstairs, their dad went to the bathroom to take a shower before coming down to eat.

"So, I heard you on the phone earlier" George says

"Mhm, what about it" Kyra answers

"I heard you say I love you to someone.."

Kyra froze and turned red. She then looked at her older brother, looking like she was ready to kill.

"What!? You were spying on me?!!"

"No!! It just happened, you were really loud" George lied

"Whatever, but I say I love you to my friends okay?"

"Yeah yeah okay, didn't have to get so defensive" George rolled his eyes

Kyra rolls her eyes back and slowly starts to eat again. The rest of dinner was quiet and awkward. His sister had her headphones in, watching someone on Twitch so George didn't really have much to do. He sometimes tried looking at his sisters phone but got bored since he couldn't hear anything.

After dinner, he went back up to his room, his mom was still not home so he got a bit worried and texted her.

George: hey mom
Mom: hi sweetie
George: you're still at work?
Mom: yeah, i'll be home soon though
George: alright, just worried, you're never really that late to come home
Mom: haha yeah. by the way, how was dads cooking?
George: it was actually really good, he made spaghetti and meatballs
Mom: oh nice! exited to try it when i come home :)
George :)

George then puts his phone off and opens up his PC. He goes to discord and scrolls through his messages. He sees that his friend Nick was online so he texts him.

George: hey
Nick: wassup dude
George: nth much, bored, hbu?
Nick: same here, wanna play mc?
George: mhm sure, gimme a sec
Nick: alright, hop onto vc 3, dreams there too btw
George: oh alright cool

George then sets up his Minecraft. Meanwhile, Dream and Nick were talking to each other.

"Dude, how do I tell him I like him?!" Dream asks

"Honestly just tell him!! It doesn't matter how!"

"It does! Last time I told him that his smile was pretty and he just froze, he probably didn't like it. I'm pretty sure I made him feel uncomfy"

"Dude, it's cuz he likes you too!!" Nick says.

Just then, George joins vc, lucky for the two boys, they noticed this.

"George, hi!" Dream says with a smile

"Hello" George says

"You on Minecraft?" Nick asks

"I dunno, why don't you check?" George says sarcastically

"Whatever Gogy" Nick says

Dream giggles a bit

"No, just... no. Stop calling me that!!" George says, mad

"Aww come on, you let Dream call you nicknames"

"What?! No I don't!" George says defensively

"I'm kidding dude, no need to get defensive"

"Whatever"

They continue to play Minecraft for a while, well until Nick had to go. Then it was just George and Dream left in the call. They barely talked, and when they did, it wasn't anything too interesting. So after a couple minutes of them talking, they said goodnight to each other and George headed to bed. He scrolled through Twitter for a while then went to sleep.
