I carried the girl in my arms . She weighed next to nothing . There was something strangely familiar about the way she fit against me as I jumped across the rooftops. Occasionally she would let out a whimpers and grunts when we landed after a particularly generous jump. Would things have been different if mi lady wasn't here ? I was confused.

I felt her stir in my arms . Her bluebell eyes bore into mine still misted with drowsiness . " Don't tell Chat" she weakly slurred . Her body drained with the effort fell back into my arms.

The cat super heroine landed in front of our door. Before he had time to knock we rushed out. " thank you, thank you Cat Noir" I profusely thanked him. She looked pale and sick. " Is she alright" I voiced my concerns. His body tensed and he replied " yeah, she was umm outside and she must have uhhh f-fainted on the way home or something" he spluttered out nervously. He seemed on edge but I didn't want to question. Especially since he had just rescued my daughter.

Tom encased the superhero ina welcoming hug. I sighed as Cat Noir tried balancing Marinette in his arms and return the airtight hug. When I eventually pried my husbands arms of the heroine , the cat looked shocked but soon let a small smile grace his lips.

Mari wriggled restlessly in my arms . "Should I drop her off in her room"? Her parents gave a grunt of approval I started walking towards the stairs , " her rooms is up the stepladder" Sabine told me . The soft spoken lady had a welcoming grin on her face I thanked her and turned away so that I could sigh out of relief. I had almost given away that I knew my way around the house.
I struggled to carry Mari up the ladder while balancing but my cat senses helped.

I laid her down on the bed. And pulled the covers over her shoulders. I saw the piles of pictures that crowded her walls fighting for the spotlight that decorated her walls. I now noticed the small hearts and calligraphy notes that littered across her favourites.

I saw the alley cat gazing at my pictures of Adrien. Despite my bodies protesting I dragged myself out of the bed and pathetically attempted to push the cat out my way. He just glanced at me with amusement in his eyes before smugly fake pouted "awww does my puurrrincess want me to go" . Too exhausted to make a snarky comment back I just mumbled a yes . He left through my balcony and yelled tell your parents that I send my best wishes . He disappeared through the trapdoor . As soon as he left I started ripping the photos of the walls . Each one leaving little remainders of what used to cover my rose pink walls. I didn't bother pulling out the pins , just mindlessly yanking the stupid photos off the wall. All that filled the air was the sounds of tearing and my stifled sobs as they fell to floor when the last few glided to reach the ever growing pile I collapsed to the floor tears soaking the floor.

What she didn't know was that a certain black cat was watching....
