A choked fragment of laughter spilled out my lips and soon more of it flowed like a waterfall dripping into the cold night air. Soon he was cackling to. It was a strange feeling ,we should have been doing something, anything except this really but there was something amusing about the situation.

Still laughing I managed to spit out the words " you owe me those macaroons".

He spluttered as if offended "what no "

I pursed my lips in fake thought "creation becomes before destruction"

"What where?" he protested

I let a smirk of my own twist my facial features "in the alphabet "

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Minutes later I was sitting smugly with a plate of three macaroons in front of me.
"I can't believe you won that was a stupid excuse"
"Your just a sore loser kitty"

He rubs his neck sheepishly at the nickname a habit he still possesses

A bit into the macaroons sugary strawberry flooding my mouth I wanted to taunt him but his childish sulking prevented me from doing so.

After learning our identities we fell into easy chatter exchanging familiar jokes and listening to him talk in never ending cat puns.

I groaned over a particularly bad one . He'd nonchalantly told me about the akuma being in his ring , we both knew it wouldn't break without a cataclysm which wasn't currently available to me . So I ignored the problem completely revealing in the knowledge that the flirty cat was Adrien my old school crush. I should stay mad at him but he knows his mistakes and seems to have changed quite a bit in the few hours we spent together.

I still see him glance at my scars from time to time but I pretend to not notice.

The concrete although cold and hard keeps me grounded and helps me not to float away because of a slowly returning school crush. My cheeks flush rose every time our hands brush while reaching for more snacks.

Currently I'm munching on a grass green macaroon (the last one  he lost to our bet). A few of its crumbs spill over the corner of my mouth as I put the matcha treat in my mouth.

As if on instinct Adrien ,Simulacrum, Cat Noir all reach out to brush them away . I flinch backwards avoiding his hand. He grimaces as if stung but he remains frozen in place. Slowly I push myself back to my original spot . I'm inches from his face . He still sits there as if stuck a crack splits down the side of his mask edging towards his mouth line.

Again I duck away scared of the lime green light protruding from the wide crack , forcing myself back forward . He pulls sluggishly embarrassment clear even without the flush of his cheeks.

I grab his hand as it ventures towards his neck to rub it. He tilts his face back up , I can see the crack sealing . Closing up and moving away from the corner of his mouth.

Before it can heal fully for some reason unknown to me I press my lips to his cold mask.

I stare listlessly at my window feeling dead inside both from Marinettes and my own feelings. I had meant to rise and send Marinette to her downfall but only in popularity so the space she had opened would allow me to become the best. It had worked but I never meant to hurt her like this. I'm a horrible human being I think as I push myself up from my bed and glitch onto my balcony. I didn't have one before and ragged holes in the gate and floor remind me . It seemed to have appeared on top of a spindly street tree that had grown which was removed from existence. I stared at the railing watching the red dawn. Nobody treaded on the sullen streets . Suddenly the red dawn was a little too red and I raised my arms to defend my eyes . Standing with my eyes shielded with both my eyelids and arms it took me a moment to realise I could control my body. Than a terrible crack split my moment of wonder . It's jagged edges coursed down from the sky and the 3D houses became 2D . Nothing more than a back round. A pinkish darkness descended over the world followed shortly by a tremendous crash. More spidery crevices spread across the world .Everything was shaking and sliding the plastic table and chairs seated on the balcony were tossed carelessly aside . The cracks glowed with an infinite green energy it pulsed with each tilt. I deserve this was repeated steadily in my mind. This world was fading. And shards of pavement flew up from the ground leaving gravity floundering. A child and a father crossed the road hand in hand but kept rewinding back to their original spot. Pigeons flapped unsteadily before glitching back onto rooftops and seconds later appearing on benches or eating crumbs that seemingly came from nowhere. "I deserve this and this world knows it" barely having time to breathe I take long strides towards the disintegrating balcony and without hesitation jump into the hazy sparks.

I don't even have time to scream.

I melt against him, I'm not sure why I did it but I don't regret it. My fingers grab fistfuls of his hair. His mask starts peeling of falling in large chunks. His scarf rattles irritably around is neck eventually resting on the floor to spasm. His facade now lies in pieces on the concrete. His lips taste of ice cream and warmth. He pulls away all to soon . A blush covering his pale skin and I'm sure a pink flush decorate me as well. Broken from our blushing competition we watch as a white butterfly flaps freely onto the sky .

And it fluttered away flutter flutter and it fluttered away flutter flutter til the very next day BOM BOM BOM BU BOM
