Later that night, the make-up artist Tom told you about that he talked to in the morning when you were on set dropped by your suite.
Thankfully, he was staying in the same hotel as you were so it all went smoothly and quickly. Scarlett was nice enough to let you get ready in her room, Chris dropping by to watch the whole thing unmask for a bit before going to Tom.
"So, excited for tonight?" Scarlett asked as she sat on one of the dining chairs her room had, sipping her wine. "I'm excited, nervous, scared, anxious..." You said, relieving a shaky side as the man curled your hair.
"Don't be, girl. Tom is a wonderful man who will take care of you greatly." The man said, smiling at you. He was making your hair slightly curled. It looked natural and gorgeous.
"Thank you, John." You said sweetly to him. Scarlett giggled softly, shaking her head. "I've known Tom for so long that I know he is going to take care of you as if you're a priceless treasure only he owns," Scarlett said.
You blushed softly, staring at yourself in the mirror in front. "I don't know. What if this is a fling? Or what if it doesn't work out? What if we are wasting our time?" You said, your insecurities beginning to show.
"Y/n, dear, don't let fear stop you from doing what you love. If you like the man, go for it. You'll never know if you don't try it out." Scarlett replied to you with a sigh, shaking her head.
She was right, you thought. Although you felt something for Tom that was not yet obvious to either of you, you wanted to see where it could go to.
There was potential and you two were a perfect match in your eyes. He was lovely, caring, kind, respectful, and faithful to you.
And you couldn't ask for more. "Okay, you're all done, darling," John said, putting the curling iron away. "Already? That was quick." You said, examining your hair.
"Well, you wanted a natural look. I'm a master at those. And you look completely different at the same time." John explained, re-adjusting parts of your hair to make it look better.
To make you look better.
You smiled at your reflection, sighing dreamily. You loved the way the tiny amount of makeup he put on popped your features out.
You nearly fell in love with yourself.
"I think I'm in love with myself." You joked, making Scarlett and John share a laugh with you.
Scarlett placed her wine glass away and clapped her hands, smiling at you. "Come on, it's time to get dressed." She said.
Tom had chosen a dark red, long dress for you with a loose straight skirt. It was gorgeous. You had fallen in love with it the moment he showed it to you.
When you walked out with it on, Scarlett covered her mouth with one hand as she stared in awe, her eyes sparkling with joy.
"You look like a princess. No! Like a queen! Look at you." She said excitedly, giving you a spin that made you giggle.
"It makes me want to go on the date with you instead." She said. You blushed and tucked some hair behind your ear, turning to John.
"You look mesmerizing. If Tom doesn't fall head over heels for you tonight, he shall be sent to a psychiatric hospital." John joked, shaking his head while chuckling.
You sighed shakily, giving Scarlett a giggle as she smiled at your nervous state. "Be yourself, okay? Don't let your insecurities stop you." She repeated.
You paced around the small, empty parking lot, Tom's SUV parked beside you. The sound of the heels clicking behind you being the only sound echoing in the night.
As you took deep breaths, the sound of footsteps in the distance echoed, nearing you. Tom was making his way to you in his amazing suit, one hand tucked in his pocket.
Chris was not far behind, a big grin on his lips. The moment Tom's eyes fell upon you, his movements nearly halted. He slowed down, drawing you in as his eyes trailed up and down your figure.
You shyly stood there, waving at him slowly.
"Y/n, I..." He trailed off once he was standing in front of you. He chuckled at his loss of words, making you giggle while you both looked down at the ground.
"Love birds, your carriage is waiting," Chris said as he climbed into the driver's seat, closing the door after. "Shall we, love?" He said, looking deeply into your eyes with a wide smile.
He had offered his hand, which you had gladly taken. He led you to the door and opened it for you, helping you climb into the back seat.
After closing the door, he jogged to the other side and got in as well, beside you. "Where to?" Chris asked, putting on a hat to disguise himself a bit.
"To the restaurant, chauffeur," Tom said, chuckling softly when Chris nodded, getting into his role.
"Yes, Mr. Hiddleston. Put your seatbelts on and enjoy the ride." He said in a slightly broken french accent. You giggled and put on the seatbelt with Tom's help, helping him after.
When Chris took off, Tom took your hand in his and gave the top of it a loving, sweet kiss, smiling up at you.
"You look marvelous, darling. I am out of words." He whispered after getting closer. He pecked your cheek and you could feel Chris fangirling in the front seat to himself.
This was going to be a long, amazing night.
