"Good evening. Do you have a reservation?" The man asked. Tom smiled at him and nodded, "Yes, I called this morning to get one under the name of Thomas William Hiddleston." He replied. The man smiled widely, nodding his head.
"Ah, yes. Mr. Hiddleston, we are very happy to have you back here after what happened last time. Please, let me take you to your table." He said. You looked up at Tom in confusion, letting out a chuckle as you started walking to your table.
Your arm was around his, your free hand holding your skirt. "The last time? You have already been here?" You asked, slightly surprised he hadn't told you. "Ah, yes... I-uhh... I was here once with Zoey." He replied awkwardly.
"We... broke it off here. But I love this place because it has a gorgeous ballroom and the restaurant is very beautifully decorated." He quickly explained. "I wanted to take you here because it is a very beautiful place I want us to spend this date in." He said sweetly.
You smiled sadly, nodding your head. "I'm sorry you had to end it here." You said, feeling sorry to remind him of that again. "Oh, no. Don't feel bad. It all happened voluntarily between the two of us. We wanted this to happen. We saw it was going nowhere, and it was needed. We both needed a break." He sighed softly.
When you reached the table, he pulled your chair back as the man fixed your table. "I will be back as soon as you've decided what you will order." He said before leaving your table.
Tom sat down on his chair, noticing you still had the same confused and worried look on your face. He took your hands, which were resting on the table, and caressed them sweetly.
"Hey, it's alright." He reassured you. You stared deep into his eyes and you could see nothing else but love for you. You smiled and nodded, still feeling that insecurity mingling in the back of your head.
"Okay. I'm sorry." You said quietly. He let go of your hands and picked up the menu, you doing the same. Everything was so expensive that you nearly choked on your saliva.
"Oh, wow. Most of the foods here are worth my entire salary." You said, your eyes widening. "A thousand dollars for a fucking grilled fish?! Who pays so much money for a fucking fish?" You whisper-yelled in shock.
Tom burst out laughing, which made you smile widely. It was the first time you had heard him laugh genuinely. His hand rested on his chest as his eyes closed, you joining him with the laugh.
"Oh, my. Well, people with a lot of money do." He said while still chuckling, tears about to fall out of his eyes.
"Oh, dear. I didn't expect you to be the swearing type." He said after calming down a bit, having wiped the tears away.
"Oh, you don't know many things about me then." You said with a smirk, crossing one leg over the other under the table. The one on top slightly brushed against Tom's leg, his eyes snapping from the menu to you.
