"Come on Scentpaw we're going to be late!" Yelled Mudpaw.

"I'm coming!" Yelled the she-cat. The silver belted apprentice just got up not that long ago From her rest but her and her friend were late to something. Something that her mentor told her not to be late for.

She bolts out of the apprentice den stopping at the entrance of the den. The sun rays beam down on the apprentice. Scentpaw breathes in the camp's air feeling refreshed with familiar scents.

She walks to the side of the mud brown tom.

"Let's get going mud head." Giggled the She-cat with her quickly running off. Leaving Mudpaw with a shocked look on his face.

"Wait,Hey!" He replied, chasing after her.

Both of them start to run through Riverclans camp. They both jump over one of the two streams that flow through camp, softly hitting the ground and passing some clan cats drinking from it.

The cats soon arrive at one of the entrances at camp where a stream enters. There they see are three cats standing there with a hint of disappointment with a hint of anger on their faces.

One of the cats was big tom with the fur color of the grey clouds with grey storm cloud eyes to complement his fur.

"Come on Mudpaw, I told you to be here on sun up." The Grey tom looks up at the sky. "It's sun high."

"Sorry Greycloud."Meowed the apprentice lowering his head to his mentor.

"Sorry won't cut it." Signed a she-cat

The apprentices looked at the She-cat. She was small and lean with a dark blue fur coat that shined from the sun rays with light blue stripes that made her seem to glow and with light blue eyes that complimented her glow.

"Scentpaw I told you the same thing." Meowed the warrior to her apprentice.

"Sorry Bluestream."softly meowed Scentpaw.

Bluestream signed. "Both of you will be punished after we are finished with what we are doing today."

The warrior looks over to another warrior much older than Bluestream and Greycloud.

This warrior was covered in scars but still had patches of fur on him; it was a mixture of brown and black. The warrior had brown eyes that seemed emotionless. This warrior is known as the oldest warrior and one of oldest cats in Riverclan.

"What are we doing Scarpelt?" Asked Bluestream.

The old cat groaned. "Border patrol around the lake.Making sure that nothings out of the ordinary."

The warrior looks at Greycloud. "So take it seriously." Greycloud just smiles." I always take things seriously."

Scarpelt just groans of annoyance.

Bluestream walks over to her apprentice. "Scentpaw." "Yes Bluestream?" asked the apprentice. Her mentor nudges her head signaling her to do something.

"Oh right." Meowed Scentpaw realizing what her mentor wanted her to do.

Scentpaw closed her eyes and raised her head. Taking a couple whiffs from the air. There were many scents she recognized. The smell of mice running across the ground. The smell of trees bark. The scent of her clanmates and a bit of two legs but there was a smell that seemed odd like it didn't belong but still very familiar. The she-cat lowered her head opening her eyes seeing everyone looking at her.

"Everything smells normal but there is an odd odor."

"Do you know what it is?" Asked Mudpaw.

The she-cat shook her head.
