Dakota's POV~
What is the point of school. I'm not gonna remember any of this shit once I graduate. To be honest I don't even remember what I learned last week.
If I sound frustrated it's cause I am. Kaeliee has been helping me all week study for this chemistry exam and I still don't get it. Normally I would care if I passed or fail, but I don't wanna let Kaeliee down or make her feel like I wasted her time.
"Alright pencils down. Time is up" My teacher announced. He comes around to pick up all the papers. I slammed my head in the desk in defeat and let out a loud sigh. The bell rang and everyone packed up a left the room. I found Kaeliee waiting outside for me.
" So how'd you do?" She asked eagerly bouncing up and down waiting for and answer. I can't tell her I totally just bombed that exam. "Tsk. I-it was easy. Don't know what I was so worried about" I said nervously. Her excited smile dropped. "You didn't even finish it did you" she questioned. "Nope" I shook my head. "Did you even try?" She asked. "Now that I did do. I'm just not good with numbers and letters together and I kept mixing all the formulas up. But I did try I really did." I explained. "How many did you do?" This girl and all her questions. "15" I said proudly.
She face palmed herself. "There were 50 question on the exam Dakota." And there goes the disappointment I was trying so desperately to avoid. "At least you tried. Now I'm starving let's go eat." She shrugs and pulls me towards the cafe.
Why is she not mad she spent all week helping me study just for me to fail. It's official...Girls are weird. Yup.
Kaeliee's POV~
When did I suddenly just decide to be good at science. The exam is supposed to take 45 minutes to complete and I'm done in 20. I've been sitting waiting for everyone to finish. I glanced over at Dakota. He looks so confused I can't help but laugh. I've been helping him study for this exam since I know science is not his strong suit. Even though we've spent the whole week study I know he still didn't understand anything we went over so if he fails I'll feel bad be it's not like neither of us didn't see it coming.
"Alright pencils down. Time is up" The teacher announced. He started to go around and pick up everyone's papers. I looked over to Dakota again, seeing him slam his head on the desk. I giggled. He's so dramatic. The bell ring and I pack up my things and wait for him outside.
As soon as he walks out I'm ready bombard him with questions. "So how'd you do?" I asking bouncing up and down. "Tsk. I-it was easy. Don't know what I was so worried about" Seriously? I mean did expect him to get every answer right but did he really do that bad? His stuttering which he never does doesn't make it any better. "You didn't even finish did you" I questioned and he quickly responds with a "Nope" shaking his head. "Well. Did you even try" I asked. "Now that I did do. I'm just not good with numbers and letters together and I kept mixing all the formulas up. But I did try I really did." He explained. "How many did you do?" I asked. "15" I'm trying so hard not to laugh in his face. He seemed so proud of his answer. I face palmed myself. "There were 50 questions on the exam Dakota." He looked like he was searching for some kind of disappointment in my eyes. As fun as this I should stop. "At least you tried. Now, I'm starving let's go eat." I shrugged and dragged him towards the cafe. Mama's gotta eat.
I look back at the very confused Dakota who was trying to understand the conversation we just had. I think he's upset that I'm not mad at him for failing.
Wait he wants me to be mad?!?
It's official.... Boys are weird!

Yes I am aware that this chapter is completely random. This is on purpose. Sprinkles throughout this book I will write random chapters the might have nothing to do with the plot of the book, but still involves the characters. It's just small events happing in their live. Getting small insight on them and their personality. It's mostly like a break from the story itself because so feel like at some point the story will start to get very intense at some point. So yea... new chapter coming at some point
