The New Don

So I've been doing a lot of think about where I want this story to go. I think I've got it figured out so in this chapter there will be a major plot change. Just letting you guys know enjoy☺️

DAKOTA'S POV ~

"Dude what the fuck? That's the third time you've done that." Alex yelled. I must've zoned out again. I've been stressed lately. Things between me and Kaeliee are weird and then there's my private life that I like to keep separate from my friends. It's just a lot to deal with.

"You ok bro?" Connor asked. "Yea. Sorry, I was just thinking." I said.
"Well can you think less? We're losing. Again" Alex said quiet annoyed. The guys is serious about his COD. Connor smacked his arm. "What?!? I'm just saying."

*phone rings*

Fuck. What now? "Sorry I gotta take this." I said walking away. Alex groans.

"What do you want? I thought I said not to call me unless it's an emergency." I whisper yelled through the phone. "It is an emergency sir." One day of peace is all I asked for. "What's so important."i said angrily. "Well... it's about you fathers sir." Mica said. "What about him?" I questioned. "Well he's..huh.... He's. Dead."

KAELIEE'S POV~

"I HATE BOYS!" I screamed. Maybe I'm just over thinking this."You're so dramatic Kae" Nelly said giggling at me. "Yea maybe it's nothing and your just over reacting" said Mya. "Am I? He's clearly lying to me about something. I thought we trusted each other." I said.

Kota and I have gotten so close these past few months. Everything's been good but lately he's been acting weird. Leaving in the middle of us hanging out with no explanation. Stepping away to take phone calls. Ignoring phone calls when I question why he leaves the room to answer the phone. Hell, he doesn't even let me near his phone anymore.

"It's not like you're his girlfriend Kae." Mya said. She's right I'm not. "Do you think that's what it is? Maybe he got a girlfriend and he doesn't wanna hurt my feelings." I said trying not to sound so disappointed. "Nah that's not it. Trust me Kaeliee if he had a girlfriend I would know. He could just be dealing with some stuff and doesn't wanna talk about." Chanel said. "How would you know if he had a girlfriend?" Mya questioned her. "I have my ways" she answered confidently. Mya and I scuff at her response.

She's right though. People go through things all the time he could just be dealing with stuff and my dramatic ass is over her over thinking it.

DAKOTA'S POV~

"Where is he? Show me him now!" I demand. "Sir I don't think that's a good idea." Mica said trying to stop me but it was too late. There he was. My father. Sitting there lifeless. He was littered with bullet holes, blood, and bruises. He face we barely recognizable. "Who did this?" I asked. "M-Marino's men are responsible for this" Mica answered hesitantly. "Why?" I questioned.

I honestly doesn't matter what he says this is my fault. My father was meant to retire a few years ago but I wasn't ready to take in the responsibility of leading the family. If I had of just taken my place in the family sooner my father would still be here.

"Sir you father and Giovanni Marino have been at war for years. The list of reasons this happened could be considered endless." Mica explained. "Where are they" I turn to him. "We don't know sir. But you have other matters to tend to before you can take any actions on the Marino family" Mica said. "We don't have time for a Induction ceremony Mica. We need to act now." I rolled my eyes. My father was just murdered and he thinks I care about some dumb induction ceremony. "According to the laws of the families you aren't aloud to take any kind of action until you have been named the official new Don of your family. You can only be named Don through the ceremony." Mica explain. I already knew this I just think it's stupid. "Well get everything prepared. I don't want Marino thinking he got away with this. Call me when it's done and only for that. Anything else needs to be handled by you." I said angrily storming out the building.

I'm so stressed. I need a break from reality...I need Kaeliee.

*phone rings*

Speaking of the angle....

I know I know that's a big change in the plot. But this is where I want this book to go. Later when this book is finish I might go and rewrite the chapters before this to fit the rest of the story.
