A/N: FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER EPISODE 2 SPOILERS AHEAD! This chapter essentially covers part of the second episode. The second "half" of the episode so to speak will be up either later tonight or this week (possibly Wednesday but don't hold me to it!). I'm trying not to fall behind too much!

When Alyssa woke up she felt well rested and relaxed for the first time in months. Rolling over she half expected to find Bucky still there but was instead met by an empty bed. Had that interaction last night even happened? That question was answered the second that she walked into the kitchen. Bucky was already nursing his own cup of coffee and immediately snapped his head up at the sound of her footsteps. She noticed that his eyes were puffy before she turned around to busy herself with making her own cup. She felt his gaze bore into the back of her head as soon as she did this.

"Use your words, Buck. Staring a hole in my head isn't going to do anything." She commented tiredly as she poured sugar and creamer into her cup.

"You started taking your coffee like a normal human again?" He half joked, cracking a small smile.

"I guess so." She replied with a small smile and shrug as she sat down across from him. She started absentmindedly playing with her mug, tapping the sides with her fingernails.

"So... when did the nightmares start?" He asked after a few moments of silence. She let out a sigh and dropped her head. She was in an internal debate on how to handle the situation.

"I told you last night." She finally answered him, taking a sip of her drink and refusing to make eye contact.

"What are they about?" He pressed, reaching out and grabbing her hand. He really wanted to understand what was going on in her mind. What had made her that upset last night.

"I don't really want to talk about it." She mumbled, pulling her hand away from his. They had other things to focus on and this was in no way top priority.

"Why are you shutting me out?" He questioned sadly. She looked up at him and it made her heart sink. He looked like a kicked puppy. She immediately felt bad for how she was treating him.

"Drop it please, Buck. I don't want to get into this now." She pleaded, going back to looking at the table. She wasn't ready to have this talk even if it had been months. She knew she owed it to him, but now just wasn't the time.

"You wouldn't talk to me about it before and you won't now. I don't know why you put your walls up with me all of a sudden. You never used to." He said quietly, going deep into his thoughts.

"Buck, don't take it personally. I'm not the only one who's got walls up right now." She told him. She wasn't wrong with that statement.

"You're going to turn this around on me?!" He suddenly snapped back causing her to hold her hands up in defeat.

The argument was quickly interrupted by Sam bursting through the front door. Receiving confused looks from the two at the table, he held the key up in explanation as he caught his breath. Steve's copy of the key they had made for him.

"Looks like I'm interrupting something, but that's going to have to be put on hold. Redwing just tracked down the terrorist group. Pack your stuff and let's go." Sam quickly got out before going and sitting on the couch.

"Don't have to tell me twice." Alyssa replied, gladly excusing herself from the conversation and went to pack a bag. Bucky quickly did the same and the three left.

Arriving in Munich, the three met up with Torres, one of Sam's contacts. They boarded a plane and began the flight to their drop location.

"So what's the plan?" Bucky asked. Alyssa was curious too. Sam hadn't mentioned much on the way there.
