Debriefing

Chapter Notes: nothing again. 

After Peter left, Harley decided there was nothing for him to do so he went back to sleep. His classes ended a few weeks ago and he was still catching up on the sleep he missed from finals week.

He woke up again, in Peter's room, because for some reason his brain told his feet to carry him there, at around 12:00 pm. He stretched and told Karen to play music as he dozed for a few more minutes.

"Harley?" Tony asked when he walked in, "why are you in Peter's Room?"

"What? Oh... I was tired and his room was free.."

"Yours wasn't?"

"Nope."

"Ok then, I'm not here to ask about your weird hobbies, I'm here to get information from Karen about Peter's health," Tony said, setting his laptop on Peter's desk.

"Cool, I'm going back to sleep."

"You can't."

"Why? Because if I sleep you'll be tired because we're....connected?" Harley said in a mysterious voice.

"Yeah, and I wanna talk with you and everyone else who bunks here," Tony replied, in a mocking mysterious voice. He chuckled and walked out of the room. Harley smiled and shook his head and slowly got up, pulling on one of Peter's hoodies. Harley walked out to the meeting table where Steve and Bucky were already waiting.

"Hey y'all," Harley said, sitting down. "Any idea what Tony needs to talk about?"

"Nope." Steve shrugged. They chatted for a few more minutes as Nat, Bruce, Loki, Thor, Vision, Wanda, and Clint filed in and found their seats. Bruce looked very tired while talking with Nat. Harley knew he'd been thinking about giving Ned an internship with him. Loki looked generally interested in what this meeting was about which half terrified Harley and half intrigued him.

Finally, Tony walked in and clicked on one of the presentation screens. On it came a picture of Midtown School of Science and Technology. Peter's school.

"Why is there a picture of Peter's school?" Harley asked.

"Well, that's because they are coming here for two weeks over the summer for their science trip," Tony said, others were about to comment but... "Ah, I will go through what will happen and will answer questions afterward."

Tony starts talking when Harley feels his phone buzz. It's Peter. He opens the text and laughs when it says: Harls I just found out where my summer trip is. Naturally, Peter is most worried about his family and his identity than anything. Harley calms him down and says they'll talk with Tony after school.

"Now obviously, the school is too big to stay here for two weeks. So there's a 'first-come-first-serve.' deal, the first 15 to turn in their permission slips get to go, so it's only going to be 12 extra teens because I've already made sure Ned, Mj, and Peter's are turNed in." Tony explains. "They will have a tour guide and will work in different Labs each day with weekends to wonder, with supervision and evenings to relax in the living quarters that are being added on," Tony adds. He goes on to explain that the students and teachers will sign NDAs and if any rules are broken that person gets sued.

"Any questions?'

Loki raises his hand. "Will Peter stay with them, or live here with us as normal?"

"Haven't figured that out, we'll see how things go," Tony says everyone has already found the irony of Peter's field trips going really badly.

"Who's the tour guide?" Vision asks.

"Mh, right, I was hoping Harley would like to. Considering I know Flash had already turNed in his slip." Tony winked at Harley, they were the only ones who know about Peter's bullying issues with Flash.

"Awesome!" Harley said, smirking.

"That'll go over well." he hears Clint whisper to Nat. the group looks over the NDAs the student and teachers have to sign. It lists all the normal stuff and also some stuff about respecting everyone's identities LGBTQ+ and super-identities. Also everyone's mental health, or lack thereof.

"And young stark will be spending his summer here?" Thor asks,

"Yeah, Shuri invited Mj to Wakanda but she and her brother, T'challa are coming after that." Tony said, "FRIDAY should have everyone's summer plans."

The group talks about everyone who's supposed to be dropping by in the next few weeks and also orders pizza. Finally, Peter walks through the elevator with his earbuds in. He freezes when he sees everyone sitting at the table with grins on their face.

"Harley and Tony either had an idea or you all heard about my trip." He says, slowly walking over like he's been caught with something.

"Both," Tony says, patting Peter's shoulder. Harley shoots Tony a glare, then hugs and kisses Peter on the cheek.

"Hello love, how was your day?" Harley says pointedly.

"Fine," Peter says sitting down. "Yours?"

"Lazy."

"Lucky."

why do I write so much dialogue? 

there are loads of characters. 

and a weird plot that won't make sense until it does. 

this was a short chapter but an important one for the characters and you may be
