(A/N: Hey y'all! So I'm writing this short little thing today because !NO SCHOOL! Anyway, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, LET THE FANFIC RESUME!)

* Nell and Mike are Mitch's parents while Connie and Richard are Scott's.

"MITCHELL COBY GRASSI!"

Scott and Mitch looked up to see a furious Nell and a very uncomfortable Mike. Scott quickly covered himself with a decorative throw that was draped on the back of the couch.

"Hi Mom, um- we were just-"

"SAVE IT! Just get some clothes on and then we'll talk." Nell sighed and walked into the kitchen while her husband walked into their bedroom, trying to erase the mental image.

Scott and Mitch just looked at each other and shame was detected in both brown and blue eyes, making each feel guilty. Scott pulled up his pants while Mitch threw his shirt at him, the garment landing on his wild blonde mop. The baritone put on the remaining garment, pulled his counter-tenor in, and gave him a sweet kiss to build his confidence before this discussion.

They walked toward the kitchen, single-file, and sat down at the table in seats next to each other, Scott placing his hand over his love's shaking knee.

Mitch hated this. He wanted to make his parents proud since they were never home for his achievements, but now he had just disappointed them beyond belief.

"Mike, come in here please!" Nell called. Her husband trudged in and sat down across from Scott, not looking up at either boy. She followed, sitting across from her son. "Okay boys, when I came home this late at night I expected Mitch to be in bed and Scott at his own home, the sleeping arrangement of most friends. I assume that a lot has changed hasn't it?"

"Well if you were actually home, you would know," Mitch slipped, letting out his true thoughts. His parents looked like they had been punched.

"Son, I work all day and night at the restaurant and your mother has two shifts at the hospital. Do you even understand how difficult that is?" Mike looked incredulous.

"No, but I know that every day I come home to an empty house and I NEVER see you. Maybe once or twice a week if either of you are running late. Thank God Scott is here or else I would have gone insane a while ago." Mitch felt a squeeze of reassurance on his kneecap, making him internally smile at his sweet blonde.

"Well, we are trying to have a better life for you son!" Nell looked at her son, desperate to know where they went wrong.

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MONEY, I WANT MY PARENTS!" Mitch yelled, years' worth of emotions erupting. Scott soothed him by rubbing the boy's spine, effectively drawing out his anger.

Nell had started crying and Mike was on the brink as well. Mitch, seeing his family look so broken, sobbed himself, thakful for the blonde next to him, whispering that it will be okay.

"Mitchie, what do we do?" Nell asked her son.

"Just be there for me, please," Mitch whispered.

The family got up and surrounded themselves in a big group circle, hugging and crying, but most of all, healing. Scott looked on from his seat and shed a tear or two himself, watching his love's family finally become a family again.

"Mitchie what did we miss?" Nell asked as everyone took their seats.

Mitch went off telling his parents everything from his bullying to his crush on Scott, all while the blonde held his hand, squeezing it everytime the story of the brunette's life got rough.

Mike and Nell couldn't believe how much they had missed. Their son was receiving bruises and they had not known. Their son had fallen head-over-heels in love with his best friend and they didn't know. They had missed out on so much of Mitch's life, that they barely knew who he was anymore.

"I am so sorry baby. We had no clue," Nell sobbed, leaning into her husband for support.

"I know, it's okay. I always had Scott and the rest of my friends who would stick up for me."

"Well, son, from now on, we will be here for you much more. I will cut down my shift at the restaurant and your mother will only work one shift," Mike said.

"Thank God." Mitch looked like he had no tears left in his system by now, or else he would have cried at that.

"We can finally be a family. And Scott, dear," Scott looked up confused by his presence in the conversation, "you are a part of our family as well."

"Thank you Mama Grassi." Nell smiled at the name the blonde boy had called her since they were in fourth grade.

"So we should probably talk about your relationship now," Nell said and Mike sighed uncomfortably once again.

"Well Mom, we haven't actually been officially dating that long, but we have acted like it for years anyway," Mitch explained.

"Okay, we are fine with you two dating but we have some ground rules. Scott, you can stay the night anytime you want, as long as one of us is here. And please, no sex while we are here. And Mitch, you can stay the night at Scott's house if one of his parents are there as well," Nell finished, with Mike nodding in approval.

"Well, we probably won't be staying at my house at all because of my parents' fighting. It's gotten much worse over the past week, and I have been staying here nearly every night," Scott concluded, receiving sad looks from his boyfriend's parents.

"I knew some of that, yes. Connie has called me about it. So Scott, you can sleep here if you want to."

"I would very much like that. Thank you Mama Grassi." Scott looked relieved and he smiled as the tiny hand in his squeezed.

"Well, I think we are all done here. Scott, you are welcome to stay here for the night. We are going to bed now. Goodnight boys." Mike took his wife's hand and went up the stairs to their bedroom.

"Looks like it's just you and me now." Mitch kissed his boyfriend's lips and stood up, leading his blonde to his bedroom.

Both boys stripped down to their underwear and climbed into the queen-sized bed, Scott spooning his little brunette, as their breath evened out and slowed down as they fell asleep for the night.
