New Orleans Novelties

Ben, Elly, and their parents are in New Orleans for Halloween. From the airport, they took a really scary taxi ride to their rental home.

"This taxi driver is going to kill us! Hes driving way too fast!" Ben and Ellys mom said.

"Sir, could you please slow down?" their dad asked.

"Not a problem, sir, you are here already!" The driver pulled up in front of a very old house. "This is the Marigny, welcome to New Orleans, folks!" After unloading their luggage, the taxi sped off just as fast as he drove up.

They headed into the mansion. It had beautiful old, carved columns, and a beautiful garden courtyard. "This place is magical!" Elly said. If only she knew then just how magical the house really was!

"Well, lets get some provisions and then we can get some sleep, we have an early day tomorrow! Were going on a tour of the cemetery at 9 am!" Dad said. Dad and Mom headed to the store and left Ben and Elly to unpack and get ready for bed. They went into the kitchen to get a glass of water, and Ben could swear he had seen a shadow figure move his glass just before he poured the water into it.

Elly was taking shower and the tap turned entirely to cold water! She was shocked and finished her shower quickly. She found Ben and told him what she had experienced. "Weird, I had something similar happen when I was pouring water." Ben explained.

They went to the bathroom to brush their teeth and heard a voice of a girl. "Wheres my black lollipop? It was a really good one that Marie gave me! I need it right now! Oh god, Im gonna DIE! Wait a second. I'm already dead..."

"Huh?!" Ben and Elly looked behind them and saw a girl with a black dress with a white collar. She had golden hair and was very pale and pretty. Elly knows about fashion, and she knew that it was a small-sized little black dress from Coco Chanel. The girl looked confused too, and saw Ben and Elly.

"Oh hi, you're the kids who are staying here for Halloween, arent you? Well, I'm Hook, the most fabulous ghost girl ever!" She said and took out a bottle that said Chanel 5. Elly knew that she loved Coco Chanel because after Hook took it out she was spraying it all over her body. Ben was shivering.

"Youre a GHOST GIRL?!" he said. Hook just nodded.

"Dont be rude, Ben," Elly said. "I can tell shes fashionable. So Hook, you like Coco Chanel?"

"I love, love, LOVE her! Lilys a good designer too, though," Hook said. "Anyway, have you seen my black lollipop? Marie gave it to me. It was just so, so, so, so, SO GOOD!" Hook asked.

"Whos Marie?" Ben asked.

"Oh right, you living people dont know the ghost town in the attic, do you?" Hook said. She tried to take Ellys hand but realized she couldnt because she was made out of air. "UGH! Sometimes being made out of air is SO annoying!" Hook said. She tried so hard to just take Ellys hand.

Elly just said, "How about we just follow you to that attic?"

Hook gave up and nodded. "Follow me."

They both followed Hook to the attic and they really freaked out. There were ghosts EVERYWHERE!

Two boys ran up to Hook. "Did you find the black lollipop, Hook?" The short one asked.

"Yeah, just in case you couldnt find it, we were asking Marie for a new one but she got mad and didnt give us any!"The tall one said.

"Dont worry, Jib, Jab. It will be alright," Hook said to them.

"Soc theyre names are Jib and Jab?" Ben asked. The two boys looked up. They screamed.

"AGHHHHH!!!! Hook, you brought ALIVE ONES up here?!" the short one said.

"Well, duh. They wanted to come up here and this girl," Hook said as she pointed to Elly. "She knows about Coco Chanel."

"Okay, so they wont hurt us?" The tall one said.

"Of course not, even if they will, they cant because were made out of air."

"Oh right," The short one said.

"Now they will introduce themselves to you, alive guys," Hook said.

The tall one said, "Im Jib."

The short one said, "Im Jab."

"And as you guys know, I'm Hook!" Hook said and the three of them put their arms around each other and did a little pose.

Hook said, "Me, Jib, and Jab are best buddies. We hang out all the time. We love pranks."

Jib brought up, "Remember the time when Baron Sometti was asleep we stole a jar of Goblin Nibnobs?"

"Oooh, and the time where we kicked the ghost man in the butt just to get his voodoo cards," Jab said.

They all started laughing all creepy like.

"So can we meet Marie that Hook was talking about?" Ben asked.

"And Baron Sometti you just brought up?" Elly asked.

"Um, sure," Jab said. "What are your names?"

"Im Elly, this is my brother Ben," Ely said.

"Oh, hes your brother? I thought he was your boyfriend," Jib said.

"Hes rude, by the way," Hook whispered to Jib and Jab.

"Hey! I heard that!" Ben said.

"Why are you so angry, Ben? Theyre telling the truth," Elly said.
