As the next crowned prince of his land, Y/n was always protected; which is… ok…? Extremely common for his parents to be very protective since he is the next for the throne.

“ Sire, your parents are calling for you.”  Y/n, who was stuck reading a book that he had been asked to read snapped his book shut and placed the book on a table beside his chair.

The H/c male stretched as Ronjoon, who was Y/n’s right-hand man and personal butler just stood there and sighed. “I never understand why you want to spar with the general of the Knights Y/n, you could be hurt or something”

Y/n rolled his eyes and stood up, His crown tilted on his head a bit. “C’mon, Joon- Hyung! I just want to prove to my parents that they don’t have to be overly protective of me!”

 
Ronjoon sighed and shook his head. “ Well, your parents are calling for you and it seems that its about the Peoples’ food for this winter.” Y/n nodded as he followed Ronjoon to his parents. All of Y/n’s life, he was protected, he was never allowed off sight or else his mother (Or the queen) will lose her shit and go on a frenzy trying to find Y/n.

Y/n thought that his parents are only super protective of him because he was their only child and since his mother is in her late 50s, she probably couldn’t handle another child. “Mother, Father, what’s wrong?”

Y/n sat down on his chair once they reached the room. “ Ah, y/n… Its about the Peoples’ food and crops for this winter, and since your up next for king, you should make a solution for this.”

Y/n nodded as he carefully listened to his father explain what the problem is and he quickly made a solution for it.

“That’s actually a good idea!” The h/c male winced as his father’s voice boomed. “Y/n, Sweetie, make sure that you always wear your gloves alright.” Y/n’s mother reminded him as y/n sighed.

“I just don’t get why you always make sure that I don’t get hurt! It’s pretty annoying now… besides I’m 22!” The king and Queen sighed and looked at each other with worried looks.

“ Soon son, you will find out why we are so protective and careful around you.” The king explained as y/n just sighed and walked out the room with annoyed features across his face.

Time skip

“I just don’t get it Ronjoon hyung… I’m 22! I should have learned how to fight when I was at least 10 years old! I just think that they think low of me cause I’m the only heir of the throne.”

Y/n ranted towards his personal butler as the Charcoal haired man sighed. “ Sire, I also don’t know why the King and Queen asked me to be so careful around you when I first came in the castle… Maybe some things are better of unknown.”

“THAT’S JUST UTTER BULLSHIT!” Ronjoon didn’t even flinch when the prince yelled at him for trying to defend himself. The butler just sighed as he organized the books that Y/n threw at him earlier when he was lashing out.

“I want to know how to fight! Defend myself! To make the general’s army become more powerful to protect our kingdom! But how the hell am I supposed to do that when I don’t know the basic of fighting?!”

Y/n lashed out at Ronjoon who stood there with a blank face. “I need to know why all of you are so careful around me” Y/n whispered to himself as he stood up and walked out his room, leaving Ronjoon to clean the mess that y/n had made.
