"Wanna walk around together?"

The moon was shinning above them, as if they were the main couple here. Other citizens were fast asleep while they were still standing一face to face. His faint smile spreaded across his face while waiting for her response patiently. Soft tips of clouds passed by, showing the moonlight better than before.

Without realizing, the h/c haired pursed her lips together, trying to control her heart that beat rapidly. More rapid than before, when she was in the library. It'd been a while since her previous meeting which was a week ago一but what could this man possibly want from him? If he was trying to use her to get what he wanted一no, she shouldn't think that far.

The chance was right before her, confront was the best option, revealing all her secrets to the point there were none other, just so she could see if her heart really did trust him一believe in him that he wouldn't harm her.

Even the heart she broke herself for her own freedom, it felt like it trapped more than before. As if the weight of the cage's iron increased ten times more. Y/n hesitantly walked right next to the blonde, still trying to find out what to say. A normal conversation? Greetings? Or maybe talked about the weather一

"How have you been?" he asked the girl, openning the conversation first before she could even find one. "Hmm, I've been doing well...! What about you?" Unexpectedly, her voice didn't crack at all一it was stable and soft. "Same as you."

Had he been overworking himself again? An alchemist to be more determind with morally grey intentions一if he wanted it, he'd do anything to get it. Even Y/n couldn't see pass through Albedo's mask, was it because she didn't want to find out and stayed to like him as how her mind made him to be?

Not a single beauty in the world could beat the glint of her eyes in any way. Albedo stopped walking and sat by the bench, gazing at the fountain of the quiet Mondstadt with Y/n. "Do you rarely go out?" He asked her carefully, seeing the girl kept fiddling with her thumbs. Even with the slightest view from the bench, he could see how she shifted in discomfort.

As if there was a danger lurking behind.

He gathered his strength to talk to the anxious h/c locks owner that now, sat beside him, "I would like to talk about your mother一"

"Can we... not talk about any case related?"

He was silent for a while, hearing Y/n who asked him a favor was enough to make him stop what he was about to do. "Y/n," he called that somehow felt so soft and calm, as if he was talking with his younger sister, Klee. "I actually wasn't talking about your mother, but is there something you've been hiding from me?"

Y/n's face was still looking at the floor, with hesitant. Albedo let out a sudden cough, feeling his chest tightened once again which Y/n's gaze quickly turned to his form. The concern glazing her eyes were seen through, and for once, something within him hurt more than the sudden cough.

She quickly bit her fingertip, to the point the taste of cold iron made its way to her tongue. "Mister, please forgive me for what I'm about to do," Y/n spoke as she quickly gripped for his hand.

"What do一" before he had a turn to ask, she smeared her blood across his skin一confusement washed over his face soon, but soon, the blood's colour vanished as if it had merged with his own body.

Soon as the colour disappeared, the tightening sensation on his chest disappeared with the time, and before he knew, the effect of being poisoned by the unknown drugs disappeared.

'What... how一'

He wasn't sure what happened, the cloud hovered his head, in result he wasn't able to comprehend the reason behind it一until, a memory once came forth to his head, "There’s been rumors of their medicines一an odd chemical, ironic taste, and a scent a crazed murderer once cried out: “Blood!” contained within the mysterious herbs."
