Thud!

He heard it right. He heard the sound that came from the room. Putting the bowl fast but safely, he quickly dashed to the source of the voice. It's too loud for a child or a table一which means, it must be Y/n.

"Y/n, what are you一"

The girl laid on the floor, clearly fell from the bed. Meanwhile Klee who tried to help her up, couldn't meet eyes with Albedo who was in worry. "Klee is sorry. Y/n just fell down and一and一" it was clear Klee was innocent. Albedo sighed, walking his way to the lying h/c.

He carried her, gripping her arms gently but surely. She was deep asleep but was ready to cry any time soon. Landing her body gently on the bed, he turned to look at Klee. "Good job for watching her. Now, can you please go get me a bowl of soup I've prepared in the kitchen?"

"Okay..."

The little girl walked out of the room while singing a random tune (with guilt that still washed over her chest), leaving the two friends alone. Once the door clicked close, he turned his gaze to look at the sleeping beauty. Even though her hair wasn't as clean as before, he still found it amusing and silky. "Why did you cover your face with your bangs?" He ran his hand, lifting her bangs up.

Her face caught his attention as his heart paced faster leaving him to question: what was he feeling? Time flew by so fast in instant. As if you blinked, then the whole world became new and it's already the next year. The first time they met, she was just a stranger, becoming the source of the case, became comrades, now一 they're friends, perhaps.

"Hey, Y/n..." he called her name, almost sounding like a whisper. "Get well soon. Sucrose can't do her presentation for a week," he whispered gently, heaving a faint smile. Finding himself running his hands on her hair, the sound of an energetic kid came in, snapping him. "Klee is back! Y/n, get up!" Klee cheered while walking in the room with the soup carefully.

It was slow, too slow.

"Klee..." Albedo muttered while smiling, not being able to believe how careful she was with the soup. After settling down the soup (with some help from Albedo), Klee took a seat beside Albedo. "Klee wants to feed Y/n!" She exclaimed, eyes beaming with happiness and anticipation. "Klee, she's a bit fragile right now. How about another time?"

"When exactly is that?"

"When she gets better?"

From the dimming light of the rejection, now beamed in happiness again in the little girl's eyes. "Alright, why don't Albedo do it then?" She suggested while helping the half-asleep h/c haired to get up. Once the girl sat up, Albedo observed before his hand soon came to place itself on her head.

He wasn't sure, but it felt like the world played too much tricks and cupids on them.

"I-is Y/n gonna be okay? Is she going to die? Klee is sorry...!"

Not until the child started to panic of course. Albedo was brought back to reality, slowly re-positioning Y/n to her own seat. "No, she's fine. It's not your fault, Klee," he reassured, patting the little girl's head gently. "Then... can Klee feed her?" Albedo was about to shake his head, but he resisted the urge to say 'no' after seeing the look of the painful eyes coming from the ruby red.

"Sure, come." He lifted the little girl to his lap and held a bowl of soup. "Y/n," he called softly. Albedo held Klee's hand while Klee gripped the spoon tightly as if it's gonna fall passed through her tiny hand. "Here comes the plane!" Klee giggled in excitment as the sick girl tried to keep herself awake. "Aaa.." Y/n joined the small play they had, eating the soup from the spoon. "It tastes good. Did you make this?" Though, in reality, Y/n really wanted to throw up. It's not like the soup wasn't tasty, it's her appetite.
