It was one of the nicest days you'd had so far this summer. The sun was shining and there was a cloudless sky. So, it only seemed natural that you should go penny-boarding.

You slipped on your trainers and grabbed your pastel pink pennyboard from your beside the door. You shouted goodbye to your parents and shut the door, enjoying the feel of the fresh breeze on your face.

You flipped the pennyboard onto it's front and positioned it with your foot. Pushing off of your driveway, you sped down the track, picking up speed.

10 minutes later and you were crusing along the seafront. Your red check flannel was flying out behind you like a cape. You adjusted the sunglasses that were laying lazily on your head, keeping your hair back, as you rolled along.

You admired the sea and watched as some people tried to get in; dipping a toe into the crystalline water, and then running off , yelling that it is 'too cold'. You chuckled to yourself as you pushed against the ground with your foot, sending you flying along.

Swerving down a little side road, you decide that you would go past the seafront skate-park.
There was only one reason why you wanted to go to there.

Aaron Carpenter.

As you drew nearer you could see him lazily sitting at the top of one of the ramps with his friends. He ran his hand easily through his hair and laughed at one of his friends jokes. It gave you butterflies everytime he would do that.

Aaron went to your school, he was popular and pretty much every girl fantasized over him. His eyes, his hair, his personality, his style - it was all perfect.

You tried to act cool and re-adjusted your sunglasses again. You glanced back up to see Aaron gliding down a ramp on his skateboard, flipping it up into his hand as he finished.

Suddenly, you felt your penny board lurch out from underneath you. You were paying more attention to Aaron that where you were going. Your legs buckled as you tried to keep you balance, but it was too late. Your arms hit the pavement and your body soon followed.

It surprisingly didn't hurt that much and you sat up, holding your head.

"Are-are you okay?" You heard someone stutter.

It was Aaron.

"Um.... yeah, m'ok. "

"Are you sure?"

You felt him sit down next to you and put his arm supportively you shoulder. Just his touch gave you a fuzzy feeling in your stomach.

Is this real?

You went for it. You rested your head on his shoulder and he seemed to be fine with it! He softly ran his hands up and down your shoulder . You breathed in his cologne and you couldn't help but think of all the girls who would die to be in this situation.

"Oi Aaron!" A voice came from the skate park.

He slowly stood up, his hand lingering on your neck. He took a few steps towards skate park and turned back round.

"Y/N, your penny board, erm, it looks a little broken."

And you'd just got that for your birthday!

"Well at least it was the skateboard and not you," you caught him mumble.

You blushed and smiled at the ground. He walked on over to the remains of your skateboard.

"Wait here,"

He ran back into the park and grabbed his skateboard.

"Here," he held it out to you.

"It's fine, really Aaron, you don't have to. It wasn't your fault."

He wouldn't take no for an answer. He held it out persistently until you reluctantly took it.

"Listen Y/N," he spoke nervously, holding the back of his neck with his hand. "I've been seeing you around lately and, well, I guess I kinda like you. And it's okay if you, um, don't feel the same way or anything, but um. Yeah. I was wondering if you might want to go on a date? Um. With me?"

"GOWAN AARON!" One of his mates yelled.

You looked down at the skateboard he had offered you, you nervously turned it over in your hand. You smiled when you read the bottom.

Yes?

You looked up and grinned.

"Yes."
