9: GUILTY?

RIDDHIMA'S POV:

I was soo angry on him, i surely know he didn't do it, but he is not even enthusiastic to help me out here, its as if he doesn't want to be saved. After what seemed like Hours we reach my home. I get down the car without saying anything, he follows me into the lift, since i live in the top floor, i had to use the lift.

"Riddhima?" someone called from behind which was not vansh obviously. I turned around to find misha "Misha??" i was surprised, because she got engaged a few days ago now she was living with her parents for shopping and all, i saw Gautam her would be next to her.

"Hi guys!! God! Since when are you guys waiting outside the house?" i asked them as i open the door with my keys, misha returned her keys to me the day she left. "Since half an hour, i thought you would be home today? But we were about to leave then misha said she will come home soon, so we waited" Gautam answered. "vansh come inside, guys this is vansh, he is my client and vansh this is gautam and misha my best friends now engaged, you all sit, i will change and come, misha help yourself and get some drinks from the fridge" I said and went into my room to get changed. I heard a few giggles outside and soon after i come out and everyone is drinking beers.

"So what is the reason of your unannounced arrival?" i asked them as i sunk myself into my bean bag. "We were here to give you the card for wedding" misha said in a squeaky voice showing her excitement, we three were friends since childhood, it's been misha's dream to marry gautam, she relates any feeling related to love with gautam, i am soo happy for them.

"Vansh? Why are you soo worried man? Is it because of your case that's riddhima handling? Don't worry brother she is good at it, if she has taken up your case she for sure knows you didn't do anything, pro tip tell her everything, its better for you" Gautam said to vansh, after that vansh gave a small warmful smile and loosened up a bit.

"I guess we should go?" misha said looking at gautam. "Why so early? eat something and go" i questioned them. "No, we would have waited but we still have a lots of cards to give to his family" misha and gautam said and i got up from my place to send them off.

After they left i came back inside,  only to find vansh drunk after drinking 6 bottles of beer, he really doesn't know when to stop, he was sleeping like a baby on the couch, i thought my anger could wait and i started cleaning up the bottles. I usually drink only 1 beer when i am tired my maximum is about 2 above that i get drunk, well experience tells that i am not good when i am drunk. I get rude and brutally honest and a narcissist, people hate that side of mine. After i cleaned up, i also sat down and didn't know when i fell asleep.

VANSH'S POV

She went down to send them off and told me to wait here, if she comes here she will definitely ask all types of questions, i should go away, as i get up to leave i hear the lift sound and decide to act passed out.

Suprisingly she doesn't wake me up, instead she cleans up the mess and falls asleep. I slowly open my eyes and decide to take a walk around until she wakes up, i mean i could go away but she will not close her door since she is asleep and god forbidden if something happens to her i can't live with that. I slowly walk into a room which i assume is hers, the room smells like  different flowers orchid,velvet rose and my senses remember the same smell when i carried her yesterday and today in the car.

Her room was very modern yet ethnic style, i liked it, unlike how i thought girls like pink from what i see in her room she likes shades of blue and black, which took me to surprise since i also have the same color taste though especially i like the color turquoise blue. 

I ran my fingers slowly over the wall which had many paper cuttings and articles from internet, i take a closer look and read the headlines in each, they were all some great they were all some biggest legal cases wins and related stuff.

Someone suddenly clears their throat behind me. "I see you are awake now" I answer without turning back and still noticing the articles. "Glad that you realized" she answered. "Penny for your thought?" i ask her. "Mind stepping outside someone's personal space before we talk?" she answered. I turn around and head out to the balcony.

"What did you want to talk about?" i ask her as i take in deep breath she lived at very high floor. So i could see many building even the beach. It looked blissful.

"Who are you saving?" she asked me. "I am not saving anyone" i answer calmly. she also turns to look at the beautiful scenery. "We both know, that's not true" she said. "Why would i save someone?" "because you think since you didn't do it, you will be easily proven not guilty and you can walk off" she answered with certainty.

"What makes you think so?" i questioned her back because till yesterday she was soo against the idea that i can kill anyone and today she suddenly believes that i didn't kill anyone??

"Well for starters, you were not the only one who came to meet anand that day, someone unexpected also came that day, you were quite shocked on seeing that person, so when you saw that person on you way out after meeting anand, you followed that person inside, and if i am correct that person is using you! That person is using your kind side while you are here suffering, that person is out there living freely! YOU HAVE BEEN USED!" She said

"SHUT UP!! NO ONE IS USING ME! I WILL DO ANYTHING TO PROTECT THAT PERSON!! Some mistakes happen!! And that anand deserved it anyway!! It was like karma came him serving!!" i shouted and the moment those words left my lips i regretted them, it was like giving the answer she wanted on a clean plate! DAMN IT!!

"It's someone you consider as family isn't it? Well, call it personal experience. Nobody gets that angry unless they're talking about their own family." she said. "Is it reyansh?" she continued to ask.

"NO! He can never do that!" i immediately said. "THEN WHO IS IT!!" she asked.
