RIDDHIMA'S POV;
As soon as i got in the car, "Oh god...." i sighed. "What happened?" vansh asked as he was putting on his seat belt. "I am sleepy and hungry, drop me off as soon as possible" i said and i fell asleep, there is something about me, cars and long distance travels. I basically sleep the whole time and if you ever have a choice between travelling alone and choosing me to travel with, you can choose anything because there is absolute no difference, either way it's gonna feel the same.
"Hi?" someone from behind called me. I was in a different place now, a dark place, as far my eye could go, i could only see darkness, and some echoes, of people laughing, whispering, "Don't care about them" someone else said and i looked at the source of the voice, its vansh, which kind of surprised me. "Where are we?" i asked him looking around. "In your mind" he answered.
"So it's a dream?" i ask him confusingly. "Yes, it is" he answered with a smile. "You never realize you are in a dream, during a dream?" i question him back. "And neither do we try to get out, you haven't slept in weeks? Then why act like sleeping now? To prove to me, that you are human?" he questioned me. "How do you-" i began to ask. "i am your subconscious remember? You might be seeing me in someone else's form, but its just you, i am saying what you need to hear" he said.
What is happening??? "Hey! Riddhima?? Wake up??" i heard like a echo and suddenly in my so called 'dream' i was falling off a building. I woke up with a jerk. I was breathing rapidly. "Hey, hey, look at me" vansh said while putting his hand on my cheek. "Are you alright?" he asked me as he turned around to get the water under his seat. "Drink it, you will feel better" vansh said. I gulped the water down, i looked out of the window to see if we've reached home, but we were surprisingly in a ferry?? I was confused?
"Why are we in a ferry?" i asked vansh, as i closed the cap of the water bottle. I looked around to vansh's seat, but he wasn't there, then i heard a knock on my side of the window, it was vansh. I opened the door and he held his handout for me. I took hold of his hand and stepped outside. The ferry was looking beautiful with flowers, lights it was just perfect. "Looks like we are interrupting someone's evening?" i asked vansh as i walked around the ferry.
"Don't worry, i guess we can't spoil our own evening?" he said with a small smile on his face. "Our evening?" i question him back. "Happy birthday Riddhima" he said slowly and handed me flowers. "Thanks?" i said as i took those flowers in my hand. "Why did you do this?" i ask him.
"I mean why not? You helped me get out of a case, helped me pick my clothes out, and trust me when i say it's really a big deal for me. This is a small gratitude kind of gesture?" he said as he led me upstairs of the ferry, wonderfully decorated for dinner. "Aw, thanks man!" i said as i slapped his shoulder. "Ferry idea?"
"Yeah, yesterday the voicemail? Aadhya mentioned how much you like ferries, so had to" he said and pulled out a chair for me as a gentleman. "Don't be soo good to me, i am afraid i will get used to it" i taunted vansh as he sat opposite to me. "Well same applies to you" he said as a guy was serving food for us. We were enjoying our food, when he asked me a question. "How did aadhya die?" he asked me, i could feel a lump forming in my throat, every bite i was eating was getting harder to swallow.
"It was a murder" i said slowly. "Murder? Aadhya seemed like a nice girl, who would want to murder her?" vansh asked me.
VANSH'S POV;
I know it was hard for her answer my questions, but i wanted to help her, somehow. "It was gang war, some guy put a gun to her head and asked someone else, to let him go, but apparently the other guy, he didn't care and she got killed" oh my god, my guess was correct, she was AADHYA, the girl who fahad killed 2 years ago, in one of our meetings!
