A Light in Darkness

Chapter 6

The night before

The entirety of class 1A (minus three boys) sits around the common area. A girl with purple hair walks over to the couches and Iida stands up.

"Alright." He says with his voice as serious as ever. "Now that Jiro is here we can get started." His hands chop the air and at his words everyone either gets off of their phones or stops talking to their friend.

The vice president of the class stands up. "Has anyone made contact with Bakugo, Kirishima, or Todoroki?" Everyone looks around at the others, hoping that someone else made contact with them because they themselves couldn't.

After a few moments of silence and disappointment, the pink girl starts talking, "No! They haven't answered our calls all day or responded to any of our texts or anything."

Iida speaks up, "I know that it is frustrating, but let's look at this objectively. Mr. Aizawa said that they all had excused absences. Why would they be excused?"

Sero, who is sitting upside down on the couch next to Kaminari, answers. "Well, I am not sure about Kirishima, but the other two might have something to do with their remedial classes."

"Yeah!" The voice fills the air and everyone turns to look at the floating shorts and shirt. "And Mr. Aizawa didn't say they were together. Maybe those two are doing that and Kirishima is at his work studies or something else."

"No. The work studies for first-years were put on hold in light of what happened. If Kirishima was allowed back to his work studies, I am sure we would have been notified."

"Yeah and he would have told us too!" Mina shouts out.

"And that doesn't explain why they aren't responding to any of us." Midoriya says and everyone nods their heads.

"I don't know if it matters, but around 2:45ish I thought I heard screaming outside." Shoji says in a quiet tone.

"Screaming?" Iida asks back.

"Oh yeah! And Me and Sero both heard a bunch of commotion around then too." Sato says in a reply as everyone turns to look at him.

"Wait!" Midoriya stands up. "You guys heard screaming? Because I had a dream that Todoroki was outside on the ground melting a massive slab of ice that he created on the side of the building. I wasn't sure if he was actually there or if it was just my dream, but if you guys think it was real, then I am sure that he was actually out there."

"Maybe villains attacked?" Tsuyu says in her soft voice.

"No." Momo responds back. "If villains attacked, we would know about it. They wouldn't keep it from us and it seems unlikely that only those three would be caught in a villain attack on the school."

"So what are we going to do?" Mina screams out. She has been worried about all three of her friends all day and not knowing where they were stresses her out.

All heads turn to the class president before he even starts to speak. "I think that we should ask Mr. Aizawa directly. He is bound to know."

"Okay guys. I am not sure, but maybe the class we had today had something to do with them." Everyone completely ignores Iida's statement as they all look on at Uraraka.

"Ribbit, what do you mean, Ochako?" Tsuyu asks.

"Well. I just think that, well Todoroki has a lot of family problems and Bakugo has anger issues. So wouldn't Mr. Aizawa want to wait for them to be there when we have a mental health lesson." Her cheeks get red. "I don't mean that they have any mental problems, but they seem to have the most trauma, at least Todoroki. So maybe something happened with those three and that's why we had our lesson today even though they weren't here."
