Walking in to the oh so familiar cafe. Memories flooding in I looked around for the familiar frame of the man who left me when I needed him the most. A sigh escaping my breath.

"Luna, hey" the familiar voice made my heart skip a beat.

I turned around regretting my choice to see him again after so long.

"Hey" was the only thing that came out of my mouth.

A small smile appeared on his lips, hopeful yet sad?

"How have you been?"

A blank new slate I wanted for myself came around. The start of it all wasn't easy. Getting an apartment for start was a living hell, searching, departing, even arguing over them was a nightmare I'm glad is over, because if I had to endure it one more day I would've slapped myself silly.

The town I grew up in was small compared to this city. The walk between different buildings was the first thing I noticed.

The friend group I had before separated, choosing our paths that didn't really got along the others. So sad to say but I was alone here if not for Maria who was moving in with me. And also the one who caused most of the arguments over our living arrangement.

But as of today I have exactly a week before my first semester starts to get used to my now different life. New people, new places, new everything.

Realising it's been an hour since my parents left me after helping me bring my stuff in, yet none of it was unpacked as I just stared at the boxes unable to start.

--

At around 4 p.m I finally decided to move my ass and unpack the minimal amount of belongings I brought, two boxes of clothing that where nowhere near filling up even half of the closet space I now had. After neatly folding them I decided to make a little shopping list, since packing basic day to day things wasn't on my mind at the time apparently.

The room I had now was bigger than the one back home, and the minimal amount of things I brought didn't help fill it up that much, however I didn't really mind. I weirdly found peace that most of the surfaces were basically empty.

Relaxing still wasn't on my mind so I  decided to wander around the apartment more and the first target was the kitchen. I remember my tenant said the apartment has all the equipment so I only took what my mother packed for the dishes and utensils which proved to be enough for the time being.

After another hour of just unpacking and walking around my new living space I decided it's enough for today as it's almost 7 p.m and I still wanted to go out for a walk before it gets too late.

The walk was nothing special, but it did help me get a better understanding of the area my new home is in, it's not bad looking, not the best either since the apartment complex is a bit off the city center so I guess it isn't as well kept, but it's still pretty to look at. On my walk I did notice couple of shops scattered around the place, one Cafe in particular caught my eye, it looked cozy and simple, I should go there tomorrow, maybe Maria will want to go with me after she arrives.

After a couple of hours I decided it's enough exploring for today and decided to head back. On my way back I did remember to stop by a grocery store near by to buy some food since the fridge is totally empty.

The amount I ended up buying was way more than I expected to buy at first and it made me wish I had taken my car, but here I am walking back with 2 heavy bags. Lucky me it's only a 10 minute walk back.

--

The next day I woke up to the doorbell ringing, I quickly put on some pants and headed to the door only to find Maria with her dad standing there

"I thought you had your keys?" was the thing that came out of my mouth instead of a greeting, which only made her laugh.

"I do but it's somewhere in my bag, so I thought I'd be easier to just make you open it" she said as she walked past me while carrying a box in her hands, her purse hanging over her shoulder. Typical Maria.

"Well okay then" I said and looked back at her father who also started to walk past me after saying a quick hi.

I watched as she and her dad started  unpacking her things, I did offer help but she told me if I even dare to touch a thing of hers I'm getting poked in my ribs. And let me tell you it's worse than getting punched.

So here I was sitting on my phone looking at my Instagram feed while the two of them are working, but then again I wouldn't let her help me either.

Well I decided to try out something a little different with my writing so we'll see how that goes.

I'm not completely sure if I'll write smut parts in this story, I probably won't but there's always a possibility.

Anyways I hope you'll enjoy this story and feedback is always welcomed.
