Draco took Harry's dissapearence quite hard. He found himself with silent tears, sobbing into the soft linen sheets most night.

But with a young child to look after and a new job, working in a small bookstore on the edge off the beach, it all seemed to blur.

Narcissa offered a great helping hand majority of the time and Sirius and Remus visited often, with little talk of Harry, though he knew the boys godparents were struggling with it as well.

Eventually the sadness turned to a pool of anger. He couldn't help but feel his mouth turn sour at the thought of the raven haired boy, though when he had time to himself he still tried wrap his head around how one could disappear so easily with no care for anyone else.

And so he didn't send a gift on Christmas and he wasn't too surprised when he didn't receive one either.

Instead he awoke to a weight on his chest.

"Dray," Cass whined, shaking the sleeping blonde.

His eyes opened to her tiny face staring down at him, an elf hat positioned floppily on her head.

"It's Christmas, it's Christmas, come look," She cried happily, seeing him awake.

"Santa brought gifts."

"Did he now," Draco spoke, his voice rough with sleep, "Let's go look."

He lifted the small girl into his arms and carried her into the living room where a large stack of presents, that he had strategically placed late the night before, were sitting under a tree they had a decorated a few weeks earlier.

They unwrapped presents once Narcissa had woken and found themselves at Sirius and Remus's for christmas lunch.

The couple had moved in a few blocks down as a decision to raise their 'son' Caleb away from Wizarding World. It worked out quite nicely for everyone, including the two small children who grew quite close.

Cass seemed to take no notice to the scars that littered the tiny werewolf boys face and limbs.

As months past they all grew quite close as a large family, with Ron and Hermione visiting frequently.

Sienna was also considering moving up to the beaches.

She had gotten her life back together after the past years events and was considering a fresh start with young Nora to look after.

New years came quick and more parties and gatherings were held.

Sirius and Remus worked on New Years fireworks by enchanting a muggle box of them and setting them off as the clock stuck twelve so animated shapes dived through the sky.

Draco sat on the beach, watching them crackle above him.

Nora and Caleb were fast asleep on a nearby hammock while adults laughed and danced around on the shore.

Cassie was bundled up in his jumper, breathing sleepily on his chest.

The small girl rarely mentioned Harry anymore and this was one of the only times she did.

"I wish Haz was here," She murmured into the fabric of his top.

Draco's heart froze and twisted, he was glad the small girl couldn't see his face in the dark, for his eyes closed on instinct and he had to grit his teeth to stop himself from reacting.

"He told me once he liked fireworks," She continued.

"I'm sure he did," Draco responded, trying time keep his voice soft and even.
