hide and sick

"have you changed?" you asked deku as you heard the door to your bedroom open and close.

"yep!"

you jumped on the bed whilst he gently sat down, "let's play a game!" you giggled.

"like what?"

"there's this game that the commoners play! i think it's called hide and seek?"

he nodded, "i love that game i used to play it a lot when i was younger!"

"i seek, you hide, ok?"

"this is a pretty big castle, w-what if i get lost?"

"don't worry, you won't," you pushed him out the door, "now get out so i can count!". once he was out you placed your hands over your eyes and counted up to 100.

"time to find you!"

you ran down the long stairs to first check the dining room. no one. you then checked all the bathrooms. no one. you ran up the stairs to the theatre room.

"are you in here, deku?" you giggled. you checked behind one of the lounge chairs in the back, "there you are! wow, you're really bad at this game."

he stood up and dusted himself off, "i got lost so i ran in here last minute. anyway, it's your turn."

"alright!" you ran out of the room quickly as you knew exactly where you were gonna hide. you jogged down the stairs and opened the door to the staff kitchen. you giggled as you hid behind the freezer.

deku looked in all the rooms, the dining area, the bathrooms, the lounge room, and pretty much all the places he could actually find. 

he was beginning to get worried, you had been hiding for an hour now. the castle was so big, you could have been anywhere.

the last place he was gonna check was the kitchen, if he couldn't find you there, he would tell your parents.

he opened the kitchen door slowly, "y/n are you in her-" he spotted you sleeping on the kitchen floor. he shook his head and sighed, "thank god you're ok!" he was just about to wake up until he took some time to admire you in this peaceful state.

you looked so beautiful awake--and sleeping. he gently lifted you up bridal style and begun walking to your room. he surprisingly didn't drop you.

he placed you on your bed and kissed your forehead while getting in bed himself, "goodnight y/n, i love you."

you woke up to deku's arms wrapped around your waist and your head snuggled into his chest. you shifted slightly as you had a headache.

he noticed you waking up, "good morning y/n." he said in a sleepy, raspy voice. you didn't answer, all you did was cough slightly and nuzzle your head into his chest more. "hey are you ok?" he looked down at you. he gently placed his hand on your forehead which made you shiver, "you're burning up."

he quickly got out of bed and began to freak out, "how did you even get sick?"

you sat up on the bed slowly, squinting your eyes from the harsh light, "i don't know, maybe it was because i was near the freezer."

"oh my, ok uhh what are your symptoms?"

"i feel nauseous and... weak." you sniffed.

he nodded and ran out of the room to go find someone to help you. around 2 minutes later he showed up with a tray. on the tray were a cup of tea, a thermometer, a hot rag and a dose of medicine.

"your mother said she'll be here soon." he placed the tray on your bedside table.

"say 'ah'" he made an o with his mouth. once you complied he placed the thermometer in your mouth.

'he's actually pretty good at this.'

after looking at the thermostat he placed the wet towel on your forehead.

your mother burst into the room, "oh dear!" she ran up to you and placed her hand on your forehead, "what is her temperature?"

"100.7ºF," mydoriya responded, still looking rather worried.

"it's just a slight cold, she'll be better by tomorrow!" your mother nodded to you and walked out the door.

you both watched as the door shut, "so, good news, you aren't going to die!"

'did he really think that?'

"I'm gonna stay here with you all day!"

"don't you have to go home to your mother?"

"she can wait, right now my main priority is you! i'm going to go get you some more blankets, make sure you finish that tea." he was acting very protective.

deku kept his promise and took care of you for the rest of the day. he gave you many kisses but made sure to keep his distance. by nightfall he went home to help his mother with errands.

your mother was right, the next morning you were as good as ever. you never had the chance to thank him, not just for taking care of you, but for everything.

for being so mature about having to marry you (even though he might not have wanted to), showing you to his friends, playing hide and seek with you, and being your first ever friend

and boyfriend.

one day you would have to thank him.

the last chapter is next! after that, it's gonna be like an epilogue. so technically 2 more chapters. i may or may not unpublish this and re-edit it so it's better. somehow i got 100 reads.. thanks? i was a bit confused and thought i somehow read my story 100 times. i swear i was at 60 reads 2 days ago. anyway if a real person has read it comment just so i know lol. hope you enjoyed!
