"that's how it ended?" a green-haired child said.

you nodded.

"so you and daddy only got married because you told grandpa that you were dating?"

"pretty much." deku said sitting on the edge of the bed.

you pulled the blanket over your 5-year-old son and kissed him on the cheek, "now goodnight haru."

"goodnight mommy, goodnight daddy." haru closed his eyes, drifting off into a deep sleep.

"he-"

you pressed your finger on deku's lips making a "sh" noise. you ushered him out of the bedroom.

once you shut the door he spoke again, "i was going to ask if you wanted to take a bath with me, m'lady?" he held his hand out for you to take.

"oh of course good sir!" you took his hand and was swept to the bathroom.

you sunk into deku's arms as you laid back into his chest, soaking in a hot bath.

"you know, haru is right. we did kind of only got married because i needed a husband and you were the only option. it was really a spring of the choice kind of decision."

"hey! t-that's a bit rude!"

"i don't actually mean it. i loved you even when we first met."

deku snuggled his head in your neck from behind.

"finally some peace. haru's asleep, my parents are out of town," you looked behind smirking, "and it's just you and me." you kissed him.

"you know i could get used to this," he said returning the kiss.

that didn't last long.

"MOMMY! THERE'S A MONSTER UNDER MY BED." a voice shouted from outside the door.

you let out an exhausted sigh, "COMING!"

before you could get up deku held you down, "it's ok, I'll help him. you stay here and relax a little while." he smiled as he exited the tub.

you exited the tub and got dressed in your nightgown. you headed to haru's room to see him and deku sleeping side by side on haru's bed.

'they are so cute!'

you approached the bed and kissed both of their foreheads. "good night my loves."

this may have been a spring of choice decision. but it was a good one. and you would never change it for the world.
