A dance with Dace.

Morning came. I woke up and saw fresh new clothes in a chair, in front of me. I slowly got out of bed and got into my new clothes. "OK; I'll eat something and then have a think if I should stay. or leave". I had no idea where to get something to eat, maybe I ask the shop guy a few floors down. Just as I was about to leave, someone knocked on my door. "Who is it?" "It's Jade, I need to talk to you. do you have a minute?" I opened the door and Jade walked right in.

"Would you like a job here?".

"A job? I only just got here".

"Well, we need as many helpful people as possible. good people are hard to come by".

"What would I have to do?".

"Do you think you could get supplies? We have a man, Kyle Crane, helping us getting supply drops but. he won't be able to get them all. do you think you could do it?"

I had a small thought about the job offer, a dangerous job offer. but maybe it will be a chance to find my brother and my friend; and I'll be able to help the Tower and people here might trust me. Will I get paid?" Jade just rolled her eyes. "I'll take that as a yes then" we shook hands and I Jade asked me to follow her.

"So where are we going?".

"You need gear. you'll do better with the right equipment".

"Hey. I survived for years without much equipment". I had a weird feeling that I should have chose my words more carefully.

"OK; fine suit yourself".

"Alright fine, I'll take the equipment. What is it that I need?".

Jade smiled and took me down so many stairs. We finally got to a room filled with supplies. a lot of supplies, enough to feed and equip over a hundred people. Jade handed me a grapple a machete, a pistol with one magazine, a flashlight and a small food supplies. "It might not be much but, runners have gone out with less and have returned with plenty".

"Alright, I'll do it".

Jade packed my supplies for me, and she said she will go with me for a few miles. While she was choosing a gun for me, I wanted to know a bit more about her. "Hey Jade; can I ask you something? or some things?" Jade just looked at me, with a weird look in her eye. "What kind of questions do you want to ask?"

"Well I would like to know, more about you. I mean I only know a small bit about you" Just before Jade could reply back, a male runner told Jade, Rahim was looking for her. "Looks like you have to go out on your own".

Jade walked off leaving me in the supply room, alone. I wasn't going to take anything, so I picked up my supplies and headed out.

Just before I got to the front door I looked at a near by clock. Ten Twenty Seven AM.

"OK, so I'll try and get a couple of supply drops in a few hours, so if I get two drops in two to three hours. I'll be able to get about six maybe more in a day".

The plan sounded good but then I thought about the negative parts "Well, if I make a clean sweep, so no zombies in my way. which will be most impossible".

I stopped wasting time and walked out to look for the first supply drop. With a map I got from the supply room; to help me find them easier.

I headed outside once again to hunt for supply drops. Just before I left I was told one of the drops was only three miles away, and the furthest one was almost thirty miles away. I got to the front entrance and could feel a cold breeze and small splatters of rain on my skin, I almost forgot what rain felt like.
