Foxstar's Destiny

Chapter 3

Foxkit and Snowkit finally got back to camp. Whitefur came running up to them saying " Where were you? I was getting worried that both got lost. Your fur is a mess!" Whitefur started washing them rapidly. " Mom! Stop!" Bushstar came out of his den and saw Owltuft, he invited Owltuft into his den. " Thank you for returning the kits. We were worried about them." Owltuft's only reply was a grunt " They shouldn't have left your camp. I found them in OceanClan territory hiding behind some reeds." Bushstar thought for a second. " Well Owltuft, it's getting late, you should head home. Take a piece of fresh kill if you want." So Owltuft left and took a mouse with him. Bushstar leaped onto the highrock and yowled " Let all cats old enough to catch prey join me underneath the highock for a clan meeting!" Cats started to jumble underneath the highrock. " Foxkit and Snowkit left the camp to explore the territory for themselves. They soon ended up in OceanClan territory. Thanks to Owltuft, they have been returned. I think that Foxkit and Snowkit showed great curiosity tonight and I think the only way to reward them is to make them apprentices." Foxkit's and Snowkit's eyes gleamed with happiness. Bushstar beckoned the kits over with a flick of his tail. Foxkit and Snowkit ran over. Foxkit, you have not reached six moons of age but why should we wait any longer, from this day on, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be named Foxpaw. Your mentor will be Blackclaw. Blackclaw, you recieved many moons of excellent training, i hope you pass your experience down to Foxpaw. Blackclaw padded up and touched noses to Foxpaw. Snowkit, you also have not reached the age of six moons but you show great bravery. Until you earn your warrior name, you shall be known as Snowpaw. Your mentor will be Amberfur. I hope you pass down your excellent training to Snowpaw. Amberfur padded up and Snowpaw tuched noses with her. Foxpaw! Snowpaw! Foxpaw! Snowpaw!

Cats went back to what they were doing. Whitefur padded up to her kits and meowed " I'm so proud of you! You will be the best of apprentices ever!" She started licking them. Blackclaw called the apprentices over. " Ok, we are going to explore the territory tomorrow." The apprentices looked happily at each other. " Now I want you to go and get some fresh kill and settle down. Tomorrow is going to be hard." They obeyed and they got a squirrel to share. Firepaw and Leafpaw padded up to them " You guys are finally apprentices! They apprentices den is starting to get full now." Foxpaw looked at Snowpaw, "Is there still space for us to sleep in there?" asked Foxpaw. " Of course" replied Leafpaw. Finally after staying up for awhile, Foxpaw and Snowpaw decided to go to sleep. Once they finally settled down, Foxpaw whispered to Snowpaw "Were finally apprentices and we start training tomorrow!'' Snowpaw purred very happily and soon both of them fell asleep.
