Foxpaw! Snowpaw! Foxpaw woke up with a jump. This was her first day of being an apprentice! "Snowpaw" she whispered " Time for training!" Snowpaw eyes shot open and she ran outside. Foxpaw ran after her and accidentally ran into Blackclaw. " Looks like you ready to go" he remarked. " Today, we will be training with Amberfur and Snowpaw." Foxpaw jumped up happily " Yay! We get to train with them today!" Foxpaw and Snowpaw ran to the thron barrier and stopped. They smelled OceanClan! A few seconds later some cats were entering the camp. " Invasion!" yowled Dawnkit. Warriors started coming out of their den. Bushstar showed up and said " Dawnkit this is not an invasion, they just want to talk." Dawnkit stared at him for a second and then pounced back into the nursery. " Greetings Bushstar" meowed one of the OceanClan cats. " Greetings Waterclaw. What brings you to our camp?'' " We need to talk" meowed Waterclaw. Bushstar led them into his den. " What was that about" meowed Foxpaw. " Nothing" he replied sternly " Come on, lets go." So all four cats went through the barrier. " Ok" it was Amberfur " Today we will learn how to hunt." " Im going to demonstrate a hunters crouch." She dropped down. Both apprentice looked at Amberfur. "Ok, now it's your turn." Both apprentices went into a hunters crouch. "Foxpaw, tuck your paws in and keep that tail straight." "Snowpaw, keep your chin up and tuck your hind legs in." They did as they were told. "You look good" Blackclaw gave Foxpaw a warm glance.
"Its getting late, we should head back to camp." So all four cats started heading back. Then Foxpaw heard something. She started sniffing around. She soon found a rabbit. She got into her hunters crouch like Amberfurs and started stalking. Once she was close enough she pounced. The rabbit had nowhere to go. She landed neatly on it and gave it the killing bit. "What was that?" Yowled Blackclaw. He stopped in his tracks when he saw that Foxpaw caught rabbit. "Impressive catch Foxpaw." "Let's get back to camp and show Bushstar." She they headed back to camp with a rabbit dangling from Foxpaw's mouth.
