Chapter 30. Awkward Conversations

I walked over to the the staircase and sat on the bottom step, I was really confused. I didn’t look at anyone, I just stared at the floor. A few seconds went by until I noticed a certain pair of shoes, so I looked up with the fakest smile on my face. ” What’s wrong? ” Finn asked me, I shrugged but didn’t say anything. He rolled his eyes and sat next to me, ” Something is obviously up, now tell me! ” he whined. ” Finn, everything’s fine ” I sighed, he smiled ” Alright… If everything is fine, then I’ll just go tell Jack your acting weird “. ” No! Don’t tell Jack anything ” I exclaimed, he chuckled ” Then tell me “. I looked around, ” Trina’s here ” I whispered ” And she’s told me a lot “. His eyes went wide, ” Who was she with? ” he asked.   ” Dan ” I sighed, ” I’ve got to tell Jack! ” he exclaimed as he stood up. ” What, No! No! ” I panicked, he quickly sprinted away before I could grab him ( Shit ). I glanced around for the golden mask’s my friends were wearing, luckily they weren’t hard to spot. ” You guy’s gotta go! ” I exclaimed, ” Why? What’s wrong? ” Jimmy questioned. ” A few of the vamp’s in there aren’t the best and they know you’re here ” I sighed, ” We’re not leaving without you ” Dean exclaimed. ” I can’t leave! ” I shouted, ” But if you don’t leave, you’ll get hurt ” I sighed. ” We don’t care ” Jack * Howard * stated, ” What’s really going on here Skye, you’re not acting like yourself. You act as if you care about these things.. ” Ben exclaimed. ” Shut up Ben! They’re not things, they have feelings. I’ll tell you everything I swear, I just need you to go ” I shouted, They shook their heads. ” Tell us now, or we’re not leaving ” Jimmy stated, ” Fine! Just go out back, all the way in the woods. There are two shifters living in a cabin, William and Alec. You’ll be protected there and I’ll be there in 20 minutes, then I’ll tell you everything ” I explained. ” Its not hard to find, just sniff your way there or whatever you guy’s do to find people ” I told Ben, They nodded. ” Fine, 20 minutes but if your not there we’ll be coming back here ” Ben exclaimed, I nodded ” Fine “. I watched as they walked out of the lounge, through the kitchen and out into the back. I lent back up against the wall and let out a deep sigh, I saw Jack walking over to me and he was not happy. ” What’s going on? ” he exclaimed pulling me into the kitchen, Finn followed us. ” Trina is here, she’s with Dan. They told me that you were both lying to me, about a lot of things ” I sighed, ” Like What? ” he asked. ” Well like there’s a secret library in this house and nobody bothered to tell me, you know how much I love to read ” I explained, ” It was our mum’s study, our dad doesn’t like anyone going in there. Trina was the only one who had a key, she was only supposed to go in to dust every week. Like you, our mum loved to read ” Jack sighed. I nodded, “Alright, did you kill Shawn? ” I asked. ” Yeah, but not for the reason they told you ” Finn yelled, ” Then Why? ” I questioned. ” Because the day after they left, I was walking through town and I ran into him. He was feeding off a young girl who was a vampire, he ended up bleeding her dry and then just dumped her body. He was asking for it! ” Finn shouted, ” They're the one’s lying to you and I wouldn’t doubt that Alfie’s working along with them, but why didn’t you want to tell us? ” Jack sighed giving a strange look. I looked down, ” They’re here, aren’t they? Your friends ” he questioned. I nodded, ” But why didn’t you just leave? ” Jack asked. I shrugged ” Because I didn’t want to “, nobody said anything for a few minutes. It was the longest few minutes of my life.

Finally when the silence broke, I was surprised about what they had to say. ” Where are they? ” Jack asked,” I told them to go to William’s cabin ” I sighed. He nodded ” Go get them, tell them whatever you have to. We’ll get everyone out of here, safe and sound “, Finn looked at him strangely but didn’t say anything. I nodded and walked out the patio door, I ran the whole way to the cabin. I walked over the silver line, but something wasn’t right. ” Hello? ” I shouted, ” Skye! ” Dean shouted running toward me. ” What’s going on? ” I asked, ” Tom, he’s… I don’t know ” he exclaimed pulling me into the cabin. Tom was laying on the floor trembling, ” What’s wrong with him? ” I asked. ” Was he bit by a vamp? ” Ben asked, ” Yeah, but they weren’t trying to change him. They were feeding off of him, it effects people differently sometimes ” William sighed from his chair ” Don’t worry, he’ll be fine “. ” So are you going to tell us or not? What’s going on? ” Jimmy asked ( More like Shouted ), ” Jimmy ” I sighed. ” No! You said You’d tell us, now why can’t you leave? ” he yelled, ” I can’t, I’m not normal! This smell I have, Jimmy I’m half and half ” I shouted. ” What do you mean half and half? ” Lyla asked me, ” My mum was seduced by a vampire ” I exclaimed. ” No, No! I knew your dad and he was no vamp! ” Ben shouted, ” No he wasn’t my real father, apparently my dad is a vampire but I don’t know who the hell he is ” I sighed. ” No! That’s impossible, you can’t be part… ” Jimmy exclaimed,     ” That would explain it all, why most vampires are attracted to you and the strange dreams you have ” Lyla sighed. ” And how you can hear what someone say’s from the next room, and how you run really fast! ” Dean yelled, ” Actually that last bit is just a cliche ” Alec chuckled ” Most vamp’s don’t have the ability of super speed, it’s just a myth “.   ” Whatever, so your blood isn’t 100% human. I don’t care, Your still my best friend ” Lyla smiled, ” None of us care, but you still haven’t answered the main question. Why can’t you leave? ” Dean asked. ” Because she doesn’t want too, she’s probably in Love with someone in that bloody house ” Jimmy shouted, I rolled my eyes. ( I was even lying to my friends ) ” That doesn’t matter, alright now the people that were having the party are getting rid of everybody. So you’ll be able to leave, because there’s a few vamp’s I’m worried about ” I sighed, ” We’re not afraid of them ” Jack smirked. ” Yeah, we’ll take ‘em down ” Dean smiled, ” I know ” I nodded. Jimmy glared at me from the corner, I guess I was nothing but an enemy to him now. Everybody stood around awkwardly taking in the information that I had just told them, until a very weird screeching noise started to go off. ” Oh, that will be the tea ” Alec smiled awkwardly before walking out of the room, ” One thing, Do we have to worry about your real dad looking for you? ” Ben asked. ” I don’t know, he probably doesn’t even know I exist ” I sighed, They nodded. ” Actually, that’s not true. He definitely know’s you exist, but has never tried to look for you ” William stated, ” How do you know? ” Dean asked him. William chuckled ” I’ve got a little gift “, ” He’s kinda psychic, he knew everything about me. Even before he new me ” I smiled. ” Cool ” Jack *  Howard * exclaimed, the phone started to ring. I had a feeling it was Jack or Finn, Alec came walking back into the room empty handed. ” Dude, where’s the tea? ” Dean chuckled, ” Oh it wasn’t ready, Skye they’re ready. Everyone’s gone ” he sighed. I nodded ” Okay, so how did you guy’s get here? ” I questioned, ’ We have two car’s ” Phil smiled. I nodded ” Alright let’s go then “, they nodded and followed me out of the cabin. Jimmy and Ben helped Tom to his feet and out the door, ( My life was about to change, and I had no clue )
