Chapter 5

Atsushi pov

That was weird. Why did I have to run off and hide? Why did I even listen to him? Maybe the cause of the meal we shared? Nah, gotta be something else.

" Weretiger!" I turned to see a black figure run towards me but I stayed still in front of him taking him in seeing his face and hair till he was 2 inches from me.

"Weretiger snap out of it!" I shook my head looking back up to see how close I was to him

" I-I'm sorry akutagawa" I bowed a bit flushed at my actions. Why did I even stare for that long?

" It doesn't bother me if you space out like a fool just do it elsewhere got it" he glared

" Yes akutagawa" I sighed starting to walk away before I felt a tug on my wrist making me look back

" I-I enjoyed your company today. I hope I wasn't a problem while we ate together but have a nice day" he let go and walked off as I kept still till his figure was no longer in my view.

Third pov

Atsushi finally snapped out of his state and started to try find his way back to the agency

" gosh!...couldn't he been nice to show me our way back..now I'm lost" he sighed as he pouted while walking on next to hear a buzzing sound coming from his pocket he reached for his cellphone opening it to see the contact name listed as suicidal maniac "huh....if this is another one of his disasters I swear.." he hit answer putting the device to his ear

" HEY ATSUSHI!" He heard giggling from the other line

" what is it osamu?" He grunted a bit annoyed

" now now that's not how you speak to your superior but anyways I am in a bit of a pickle. I told kunikida I grab new office supplies but I got hold up could you do it for me.."

" yes osamu..." he sighed. Why does he have to do his job? What is he even doing that's so much more important?

" Great! Thanks atsushi I knew I could count on you" he then hung up as atsushi put the device back into his pocket.

Dazai did the same placing it into his pocket turning around slowly

" yo dazai! Are you ready yet?" he turned smiling

" Yea yea be patient chuuya I don't think the bar is going anywhere" he walked towards him.

" Well hop on we only got my motorcycle to take us" dazai nodded hoping on as then they drove off to the bar.  

Atsushi on the other hand started walking to the store kicking the same stone in front of him bored out of his mind as he kept walking he noticed a stand full of crepes he raced up to it craving something sweet.

"Excuse me sir can I get a banana chocolate crepe?" he asked pleading
" of course they'll be ready in a minute" the older man smiled starting to prepare atsushi sighed moving out the way of the other customers as he was imagining the flavor he realised

" I FORGOT TO PAY!"

He ran back to the front handing money over to the old man

" No need to pay young man, someone else already paid for your bill and left with there's here is your's in fact." he smiled as atsushi took his in hand wondering who paid?

" who paid, may I ask?"

" some dude in casual clothes tho like a blue tank sweater top they had black hair white tips if that helps" he shrugged as atsushi's eyes widen

' no couldn't be him? Why would he be here when we saw each other a few minutes ago?' he thought to himself on the other hand someone else could be heard running atsushi turned to see none other than gin. She stopped at the stand in front of him catching her breath.
"G-gin right? Your akutagawa sister" he spoke out she lifted her head making eye contact

"Yea...he walked off but I decided to come and say on his behalf your welcome for the crepe but..he doesn't show himself that much as you can tell hehehe.." she chuckled as atsushi shrugged and smiled.

" It's fine I love that he's been kinder in some way towards me lately...in fact I wanted to ask you something"

" what is it?" she tilted her head at him

" does he not know how to remember people's names?" he wheezed out slouching after letting that out then hearing a lot of laughter coming out of her mouth. That's the first time someones made her laugh in a long time.

' you have a real future friend here brother don't lose him life won't be so dark for you'

Atsushi tilted his head if he did say something funny waiting for her response

" to be honest I don't know we don't see each other often if I'm honest even if we both work for the port mafia but were both always on missions" she smiled softly

" I see...must be sad you probably wanna see him more when you can't you must really love him. Your eyes say it all unlike that smile" she widened her gaze at him how he knew.

" Well I better get going and if you find akutagawa here give him this" he placed a slip of paper in her hands.

" Just my number for both of you like how he comforted me. I would do the same for him" he smiled tilting his head once again as she stood frozen of joy how kind he was speaking.

" Nice talking to you gin" he then walked away as she did as soon as she couldn't see him in her reach anymore she turned to walk down the street seeing her brother

" ready to go home?" He asked as she smiled at hearing his voice

" yea!" she responded as she grabbed his hand as they walked the opposite direction as atsushi.
