The boys burst into another round of laughter as Jimin imitated Hobi's blank expression. "I said Hyung?" Jimin said snapping in front of his face, "Is there Hobi in Hobi today? No, sorry. I think he checked out." Hobi covered his reddened face. His eyes disappearing as he laughed with embarrassment.

"Ya, I didn't know we were going to bump into her like that." He admitted. "I was still practicing what I was going to say in my head." Everyone was rolling off their seat laughing. Hobi got up and hit everyone with a throw pillow.

"So you're going to go back to the book signing, right?" Jeongguk prodded. Hobi cringed and hid his face inside his shirt. "Oh come on, hyungie!" The youngest of the team jumped Hobi and hugged him. Hobi patted him on the head and let him rest it on his shoulder.

"Hoseokie-hyung got her number." Jimin announced, completely thrilled being the bringer of information. Everyone's eye grew large and started hooting.

"Omo..you're going to call, right?" Taehyung asked. Hobi only shrugged and smiled rousing reaction from the other boys, but they were ready to relent in the end. Hobi was not known as one to always share his feelings.

Jin, however, really wanted to know. Sometimes, Hobi needed a push. Jin asked what the problem was. "There's no problem." He replied. "If I am Hopi, won't she feel awkward to meet me?" He was looking at Yoongi directly with his question. Although he was close with everyone, He valued Yoongi's wisdom as everyone did.

"She won't if you don't let her know you've read the book." Yoongi reasoned. "You could meet her elsewhere."

"Uwu! You could meet her at the Magic Shop, nobody goes there." Jeongguk offered.

"Ya! That's not supportive!" Jimin laughed pointing at Jeongguk.

Jeoungguk pointed back, shaking his finger at Jimin. "Hyung! You're wrong! I'm promoting her business here." Everyone laughed. It was tense for a moment, but it really seemed like Jeongguk and Jimin have left issues where they lay in the past.

"That's actually not a bad idea." Jin nodded emphatically. "It's not a date. Just catch up."

"Is that the only problem?" Namjun asked.

"Well, also I'm scared." Hobi's face reddened. "I couldn't talk to her. I couldn't talk to her before either. She was so pretty. She's still very pretty."

Jimin stood up slowly and made another Hobi loading error expression. A throw pillow bounced off his head. He turned to complain but just decided to sit down quietly.

"Call her. Call her..." the maknaes started chanting.

An hour later, all seven boys were hovering over Hobi's phone. The screen was opened to a message window where Hobi typed in a well-crafted message deliberated and approved by every member of Bangtan Sonyeondan. It read:

It was nice bumping into you today. Are you still willing to catch up next weekend?

When it beeped, all seven whooped in surprise and grabbed onto each other excitedly. They peered at the screen and starting shouting with excitement. "She is! She is!" Taehyung started jumping.

"Shh. Wait,  wait.. what do we say?" Jimin asked looking around the huddle.

"Ya!" Hobi said all too seriously, "Can I have some privacy?" They all looked at each other and apologetically started stepping away. "Just kidding, come back! Tell me what to say!" he squealed. Everyone grinned and looked at the screen again.

We could meet at this café called Magic Shop. What time will you be free?

"Nice." Jeongguk approved. When the phone beeped again, the boys started dancing and hooting.

"She said eight! Don't be late!" Namjun started a chant, but no one followed. He cleared his throat. "What's our answer?"

That works. I'll send directions to the café.

Beep. "Oh, she actually knows where it is. She's been there before." Hobi shared. He sat back on the sofa cradling his phone. He smiled at it. He was nervous, but more so, his chest was swelling because he was excited. He missed the feeling.

"It does have other customers." Jeongguk marveled. Taehyung walked up beside him and said, "I'm going to tell her you said that." before he sped off. "You are a dead man!" Jeongguk called after him. Taehyung could be heard saying "Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" from a distance. Hobi didn't even notice the commotion at all.

"Hoseokie-hyung, bring her flowers on your first date. Like in the book." Jimin suggested. "Yes?"

"Ok." Hobi agreed. He enjoyed seeing everyone getting excited. Everyone started dancing around him. Hobi had a big smile on his face.

It was 7:58 PM and they were all squeezed into one van because no one wanted to take a second one. Jeongguk stepped out onto the curb and waited for him to come out. Yoongi thrust the bouquet into Hobi's hand. "You got this. Don't break down," he said encouragingly. Hobi laughed nervously. They said their goodbyes and he walked to the café with Jeongguk.

"Why are you even nervous?" Jeongguk asked. He reached up to massage the back of Hobi's neck.

"Because.." Hobi answered honestly, "She is my ideal."

Jeongguk stopped in his tracks. Hobi laughed shyly. "Ye. I don't believe in love at first sight. But when I saw her for the first time, I thought this is the girl you only meet in novels. When I think of who I want to be with, I think it would be someone who looked like her. Tonight, if we don't get along, I will lose my ideal."

"But if you do," Jeongguk grinned, "you co-write a happy ending."

Both boys realized they were in front of the café. They waited for a customer to come out before they went in. Jeongguk walked straight to the counter and waited for Nira to turn around. He could see that she was sitting down reaching for something inside the storage cabinet. He cleared his throat. "Service here is terrible." He said in a growl. Nira shot up and turned. Her face lightened when she saw Jeongguk. "Hello." He greeted, pulling his mask down, "Where's my kiss?"

"I'm sorry, we're out of stock. Can you order something else?" She shot back.

"Honey..." Jeongguk pouted. She looked behind him and waved at Hobi. He waved back with a smile and pointed inside, making himself scarce. As the couple bantered, Hobi went inside to pick a table.

He was surprised when he felt a hand on his arm. He turned and saw Nira holding up a shot glass with amber-colored liquid courage. "Oppa, drink up." she winked. Hobi smiled and thanked her gratefully. Yes, he needed that. He raised the glass to Nira and Jeongguk who stood near the counter with the open bottle. "Zzan!" he called to them.
