Ghost Story [DISCONTINUED]

Chapter One

Out in the distance, Brett could see the island of the Greater DreamSMP rising out of the water. Oh, what a day this is going to be! The island was famed for having a history of wars a two hundred or so years ago. Both Brett and Troy had been excited to learn about them. Brett was particularly interested in the Manberg Vs Pogtopia war, while Troy just wanted to check out the 'Doomsday'.
"Troy! Troy! We're nearly here!" Brett shouted over the waves as he pushed his sleeping friend.
"Mm..." Troy grumbled. "What...?"
Just as this happened, the overhead speakers blared on. "Hello, passengers. We will be arriving at the Greater DreamSMP in approximately 10 minutes."

~10 minutes later~

As the ship bumped lightly against the wharf, Brett and Troy grabbed their bags before hopping off.
Troy turned around to Brett, "So - where should we go first?"
"Bee n' Boo hotel. Did you know, it's actually a revamped hotel on the foundations of the original Bee n' Boo."
"Yeah, yeah, well after - we are going to the L'manberg hole."
The two walked over the refurbished Prime Path, as it was called when it was made. Passing a gingerbread-looking house and a run-down looking Walmart they finally arrived at the hotel.
Checking in, they quickly unpack and head out to the crater.

"W-O-W," Troy stared in amazement. "This thing is huge!"
"It was chunk-bombed."
"Huh? What does that mean?"
"The TNT was placed on the obsidian floor up there, and duped. It was designed to blow right down to bedrock."
"Nice."
After staring at the crater for a few more minutes Troy got up and closer to the edge. "Hey! Look! The flagpole is still down there."
Moving after Troy, Brett peered over the edge. "Yeah, it is."

After a few more days of wandering the island, Brett and Troy decided to wander out a bit more.
"So, what direction first?"
"East (may not be correct), we should head over to Technoblade's cabin."
"He blew up L'manberg on Doomsday, aye?"
"And after Wilbur - he actually did most of the surface damage."

Jumping into the boat, the two headed out on the ocean. As the sailed, they saw wonders. Dolphins, corals, you name it. Eventually, the water was getting patched up with ice and they knew they were close.
"Troy, down there - it's the end fortress. Wanna check it out next?"
"Hell yeah!"
Departing the boat, they trudge through the snow. About 5 minutes had passed before a double-cabin rose up in the distance.
Excited at the sight, Troy stared running with Brett trailing behind him.
When Brett finally reached Troy, he was jumping up and down - shouting.
"Woo! We're here!"
Scurrying around the edges, Brett found an opening in the fencing.
"Over here!"

Entering the boundaries of the cabin, the both noticed the snow was thicker inside.
Huh, why is the snow thicker here? Brett wondered before walking up behind Troy who was pulling open the first cabins front door.
Inside, they were met with a ghost of what the cabin must have looked like before.
"So they didn't redo this place."
"But do you know what that means? It's all the original things!"
Leaving Troy at the door, Brett walked over to the backwall. Along the wall were chests, an old enderchest and a floating furnace. The remains of a crafting table stood off to the side.
"This is so cool, Troy!"
When Troy didn't answer, he turned around to see no Troy. The ring of a bell sounded from upstairs and Troy yelled down.
"Brett, I found the channel member bell!" This remark was followed by a series of bell toles.
Going back and climbing up the ladder, Brett was met with the sight of Troy furiously ringing a bell that stood above an emerald block.
"This is awesome, dude!"
Watching him for a bit, Brett went to the back of the room. According to legend, Techno had kept a secret barrel upstairs that was full of his second-best valuables.
With a yelp of success, he pulled open the barrel to the sight of nothing. Sighing, he went back over to Troy who was still ringing the bell.
"Come one, Troy, let's explore the rest of the house."
"Alrightly."

After exploring the rest of the house, they walked over to the second cabin. Immediately after opening the door, the we're met with the image Wilbur.
"Well, this was definitely Philza's cabin."
Ignoring Brett and stifling giggles, Troy pulled open the door at the back of the room. The sight they were both met with enlightened Brett to why Troy was laughing. A snowman stood there, but it's pumpkin head apparently been removed leaving behind a funny sight.
"Well, I did not expect this."
"Ha!" Troy exclaimed, "Finally something I knew that you didn't!"

They explored the rest of Philza's house before moving for a quick look at the run-down beacon. Looking around Ranboo's house and in the now not so secret secret vault and, finding nothing interesting, left.
"So, ready to check out the elusive syndicate's meeting room?"
"Already ahead of you!"
Brett looked to see that yes, Troy really was ahead of his and at the lava pit. Running up to him Brett jumped in before Troy could say or do anything.
"Still bet you, sucker!"
With the shock quickly fading, Troy leapt in after his best friend. The lava had a quick burn that quickly faded when he hit the water directly under it. As he was split back out of the water and let into a free-fall, adrenaline rushed through his veins. With another splash, he hit the water. Getting out, he saw that one of the boats was missing and Brett wasn't waiting for him.
"Wow, I'm more surprised that the boats are in workable condition."
Shaking his head, he climbed in the boat and sped along the ice, with a quick twist at the corner, he reached the end of the path.
"That was amazing, wasn't it?" Brett said as Troy climbed out of the boat.
"Duh, the best warrior of all time was here."
"Well come one, the buttons already in place."
"Click together?"
Brett nodded and together they both put a hand on the button and press down. Beneath their feet, redstone machines flickered to life, in front of them the wall disappeared into the ground, forming a doorway. Walking through together, they were greeted with a beautiful room. Raised on a stage, an endportal sat, though it was currently a table.

"Fun fact - when they built this place, they didn't know what the end portal was. No.2, it was supposedly broken and replaced by a god-like figure named XD. Apparently, it can never be lighted because of the way it was re-placed."
Brushing him off, Troy walked up the steps and around the chairs. "Nice facts man, but this place looks amazing!"
"I have to agree with you on this one - Philza is one good builder."

Wandering around the room for a bit more and checking out the exit roots, they finally left. Glancing at the sky, they realized they had been out longer than anticipated and the sun was going to go down soon. Hurrying back to their boat, they hopped in and sailed back to the 'mainland'. Arriving shortly after sundown, they slowed in the well-lit area. Eventually, they arrived back at the Bee n' Boo hotel. Exhausted from the day out, they both crashed quickly, wondering what adventure would await them tomorrow.
