So this has been rewritten because of issues in this chapter, but I kind of want to keep it up as a learning thing for me :)

🥰 TW 🥰 ~ Mentions of Child Grooming/Incest

Monokuma spun the wheel of misfortune a fourth time, cackling to himself as he imagined all the despair it could be as the different students names flashed past the pointer, the clicking slowly coming to a halt as one name flashed on the wheel yet again.

"Aaand we have a winner~! Come on up~!" The bear cheered, excited for the punishment that was coming up.

The boy made his way to the stage seeming unfazed as he climbed the few stairs to the elevated stage in front of his fellow students, none of which had really made friends with him but one whom he had developed a deep relationship with already.

"Why don't we introduce a new student~?" Monokuma piped up, gesturing towards the lone, unbarricaded door that swung open earlier during Kaito's punishment. A female waltzed through the door, being led to stand next to the boy on the stage.

Confusion washed through the floor as the two lookalikes stood on the stage, Korekiyo seemed overjoyed for the first time that his peers had seen. The woman, on the other hand, looked very confused yet proper and composed.

"Everyone, welcome Miss Shinguji!" The principal introduced the previously unidentified female.

Miss Shinguji turned to face Korekiyo, the ghost of concern behind her neutral expression. Korekiyo reached out to hug her, everyone could see he was smiling like a toddler being given a lollipop behind his mask. That hope came crashing down when Miss Shinguji sidestepped the advancement, glaring at her lookalike.

"Do you try to hug everyone you see?"

"Sorry Sister." Korekiyo looked down at his feet, seemingly ashamed.

"My apologies but you must have me confused with someone else. Have we met?" The woman looked him up and down, clearly judging him.

"It's me, Korekiyo? Don't you remember me Sister?"

"Again, my apologies but I don't know a Korekiyo, and I don't have any siblings so I'd like to ask you to refrain from calling me 'Sister'."

"But- Sister you have to remember me! I'm your little brother, your old lover!" Korekiyo pleaded with her. Miss Shinguji, along with a few other students who understood what the anthropologist meant, cringed at his words.

"I don't have a brother or a lover. Neither would I mix family and love like that."

"But... but look at me! I look just like you... How you looked before you died... It's all to honour you Sister." The anthropologist was grasping at straws, he wanted to do anything to get his favourite person to remember him, the person who always was there for him who was the only one to love him. She had to remember.

"I'm clearly not dead. Listen you're probably a really cool guy but I don't want to talk to you again understood?" The authoritative, elegant lady watched in disgust as the boy fell to the floor before turning to Monokuma. "Do I have to interact with him for the rest of the year?"

"No of course not! You won't be here for the rest of the year~!" The two-toned bear cackled as he clapped his paws. In an instant, the woman resembling Korekiyo exploded into a light blue sand as a sudden strong gust of wind dissipated her remains, leaving no trace behind.

Miss Shinguji might have disappeared without a trace but Korekiyo remained behind, curled up on the floor and sobbing into his knees. Rantaro's heart broke at the sight, he really admired the boy and to see him broken down and full of despair hurt the greenette's soul. He ran up to the stage, embracing the feminine boy.

Everyone watched as Rantaro and Korekiyo embraced each other, neither saying a thing as Korekiyo sobbed into Rantaro's chest. The greenette pulled away from the loving embrace to pull down the anthropologist's mask and kiss him. Korekiyo freaked out for a second, before realising what was going on and calming down, returning his boyfriend's kiss as he came back out of despair slowly.

"Feel better yet?" Rantaro smirked, helping his boyfriend to his feet. Korekiyo just nodded in response as they went back to their shocked classmates. Hand in hand, they stood in front of their peers and waited for the worst, neither were intending on revealing their relationship so soon and therefore didn't know what to expect from the others.

Kokichi was the first to cheer, followed by Kaede, Miu, Kaito and soon almost everyone was cheering and congratulating the couple, calling them cute and perfect together (ignoring Miu's sexual remarks). The adorable moment was cut short by Monokuma tutting, bringing the students back to the situation at hand.

Korekiyo pulled his mask back over his face as he watched the suddenly very interesting ground. Rantaro squeezed his hand to calm the boy, causing the two to lock eyes. "Do you want me to tell them babe?" The anthropologist glanced at Monokuma, who just shrugged in a bored manner, before looking back at his amnesiac boyfriend and nodding.

"Okay then, tell me if there's something you want to add okay?" Rantaro lifted the boy's hat and placed a quick kiss on his forehead (obviously causing a squeal from Kaede), leaving behind a faint lipstick mark. "Korekiyo's family passed away when he was a child, his older sister was all he had left. According to Korekiyo, she was the first person to love him that he can remember. She was always there for him, even if her love was a bit... concerning."

"Come here." The harsh tone surprised everyone, but not as much as the owner of the voice. Maki was glaring at Korekiyo with her usual terrifying stare but there was another emotion hidden behind her eyes that no one could pick up on. Korekiyo made his way over to Maki, although cautious about the child caregiver, he could see no malice behind her unknown intentions.

As Korekiyo stood in front of Maki, she looked up at him, the world around them still, before she awkwardly hugged him. Everyone was shocked as the usually deadly Maki Harukawa was hugging the usually emotionless Korekiyo Shinguji. The boy went to hug back but quickly let his arms drop to his sides as he was snapped at. "Do you want to die?"

Chains reached out to pull the two away from each other as Monokuma got annoyed with the constant hope replacing the despair he was causing. Both the mastermind and Monokuma wanted nothing more than for one of these to end in murder, or an argument at the very least. Monokuma spun the wheel again, the clicking bringing everyone back to the horror in front of them.
