When the Bennett women entered into the room, time froze.
Everyone's eyes were on them. Some filled with lust, some with envy, some with admiration and some with curiosity. The five women walked with power and authority, demanding respect. Powerful and unique magic flowing through each of their veins. Their dresses easily outshined the rest of the women's that night, causing eyes to be filled with jealousy as they looked at their garments, wishing that they were wearing something like that. The men were entranced with their beauty, wondering where they came from.
They had never seen anyone like them before. Their hair was elegantly styled, some styled up, some styled down. Some had flowers in theirs, some had pearls. One had none. They looked otherworldly, gracing the people with their presence for a time. The Bennetts were considered royalty amongst the supernatural community, especially among the witches, and they certainly looked the part.
Damon, Stefan along with Elena and Caroline all gasped when they came through the doors. Their eyes mainly focused on Bonnie, walking in with her arms linked with her family members. She looked so happy. Smiling and laughing about something or other. This was the happiest that they ever saw her. Damon bit his lip at the sight of the Bennett witch. Even though he was mainly focused on Elena, he couldn't help but feel drawn to the little witch. She was witty and funny, enticing him in a way that nobody before had done.
He didn't think that she had an invitation. But she stood out from the crowd. Damon's eyes followed her movements and he clenched his fists when he saw the Original brothers looking at her. Stefan was confused. He didn't think that she would attend. The witch looked beautiful. Caroline looked at Bonnie but was curios at the other women who were with her. She didn't know that she had any other family. She was glad that she had family, but was a little sad that she didn't even greet them, nor look in her direction.
She also felt jealousy swirling in her stomach as Klaus looked at her. She had all the attention of the men, even the women. She looked at her dress. Caroline had never seen her this beautiful before. She knew that her friend was pretty, but she preferred to be at the side lines. Now she was in the centre of attention. Her dark skin was glowing, her mouth curled up in a smile as she laughed with her family.
Elena didn't know what to think. She felt annoyed that the Salvatore brothers were not paying her any attention. They had their eyes fixed on Bonnie and the other women with her. Her dress was gorgeous, and Elena felt jealous. Next to her, she felt plain and boring. She looked at the other women with her. She wished that she had a sister. The spotlight was all on them. Then her eyes travelled down to their dresses.
She couldn't help but gasp at the intricate detailing of them, and how the material hugged their bodies like a glove. She tried to catch her eye, but Bonnie didn't even look at her. She was too engrossed by her family. She looked as they all clinked glasses together, a "cheers" spilling from their lips as they laughed and talked. Bonnie looked happy. But what about Esther? surely she had a plan. But as she continued to watch, she realised that she was in it for herself.
