"OK.. Start talking," Shannel said as soon as they were in Esther's study. It was surely grand, but she didn't care. She wanted this talk to be over as soon as possible. She was glad that she had spelled the room with Sage.

It was White Sage which was blatant cultural appropriation, but she couldn't really do anything about it. Esther would just reap the consequences on her own.

But she could tell by the elder woman's expression that this was not going to be a nice leisurely chat about the weather.

Venus glared at her. Venus had just had a talk with them not to be scared of this palm coloured witch, but it seemed like that her words had fallen on deaf ears. She kissed her teeth and relaxed into the seat she was in.

Esther smiled. These women were going to be the leaders of the Bennett bloodline. She could sense it. She glided behind the desk, running her slim fingers against the shiny wooden surface.

"Ladies, I have brought you here to talk about your future," she began and went into her desk drawer, bringing out big, thick book. The cover was black and had red and gold edges. The pages were edged with gold.

All women looked in interest, wondering what could be in the book. All women looked at each other and shrugged. They had no idea.

"Ladies please come forward," Esthers melodic voice broke them out of their thoughts.

All women looked at each other for a moment and then one by one, they stood opposite Esther in front of desk. All of their dark eyes looked at the book.

Esther pushed the book in front of them. "Ayana, your ancestor and my best friend wanted me to give this to you," she spoke in a soft tone of voice. Bonnie thought that she must be reminiscing of the time they they had spent together. She suspected that they must have been very good friends. But they could sense the dark magic wafting over the book which made them wary.

Was this a trick?

Sensing their discomfort, Lucy spoke up. "We can sense the dark magic, Esther, is this some kind of joke?" she spoke in a smooth tone but it held threatening undertones. She did not want to cause a fight, but she was cautious. She would always protect her family. After all, Bennett's always took care of their own.

When Esther smiled, it reached her eyes. "I understand your concerns ladies, but I have no ill intentions towards you. This book belongs to your bloodline. It is filled with spells that you will need,"  she explained, her eyes resting on each woman. Esther wished that Ayana was the one telling them this, but Ayana wanted her to do it. And of course she would fulfil her best friends wishes.

Venus had kept silent until now. She did not trust Esther one bit. But she wanted that book. She needed the book so that she and her fellow Bennett men and women could raise hell on those who had tortured them for centuries.

Starting with the Vampires.

She laid her motives to one side before clearing her throat, her almond shaped eyes biting into Esther's sky blue ones. "What spells are contained in the book?" She asked steadily, although her heart was hammering inside her chest. She was thankful to Esther for spelling the room. Esther sighed a little before speaking.

"It contains everything from death spells to ritual magic, death magic, summoning spells, curses, hexes, even Expression and Necromancy," she explained. "The book was written by your ancestors, people who lived long ago, even before myself and my family," she said with a little chuckle, making us laugh a little along with her.

"These spells can only be performed by a Bennett witch," she explained. "It anyone tries to perform these then they will get a nasty shock, and I'm speaking from experience," she added with a twinkle in her blue eyes.

Iridessa let out an unladylike snort, making all of them laugh again. She quite liked Esther. She wasn't as scary as she thought she might be. Yes, she had been born a thousand years ago, but she felt normal.

She giggled behind her hand, trying to imagine a young Esther attempting to do the spells and getting a shock with Ayana shaking her head in disapproval in the background. Esther reminded her of her mother, Sarah. Her heart ached a little at the thought of her dead mother, but she had to move on. She shook her head to rid herself of the depressing thoughts, only for Esther to say:

"Iridessa, are you alright?"

Said young woman snapped her head up and nodded her head rapidly, humming. "Yep! I'm OK!" She said cheerfully, hoping that she didn't sound too fake.

Esther just smiled and placed the book into Shannel's hands, who just stared down at it as if she was holding the Bible of Satan himself. Venus then snatched it out out of her hands with a smirk. Shannel just rolled her eyes and swatted her arm. But she didn't really care. Holding things containing dark magic always made her feel uneasy.

Esther then said, "Now ladies, do you know anything about the Bennett Coven?"
