" you can't kill Dwade so easily." his deep voice growled and a blood-curdling laugh followed his words. He gripped her throat, the tips of his fingers digging into her soft flesh tightly. She could feel her pipes getting crushed under the force.

"No, Dwade!" her scream startled everyone inside the room. Her breathing was heavy. She shot up from her sleep in a state of panic and started wincing from the sharp pain that shot through her back.

Jimin was quick to hold her before she fell back and opened her wounds again.

"Naaila, don't panic. It's me jimin. You're safe. Alright?" he whispered soothing words into her ear as he ran his hands through her black locks.

She held the sides of his shirt desperately as if her life was dependent on it. technically, it was. If Jimin had not caught her, she might've died of panic. He continued to comfort her. Not until she buried her head into his chest and took a deep breath of his scent was she able to calm down. A disheveled Hoseok entered the room, his hair all messed up from running his hands through it all the time.

He was worried sick about his dear sister despite Alana reassuring him so many times that she would wake up soon. And when the servants informed him that she was awake, he ran out of the small meeting that he was having with the kims and Jeons to see her awake.

His chest heaved with deep breaths as he entered the room after all the running. He saw Naaila pressed into Jimin while he was comforting her. He raised his eyebrows at jimin asking if everything was alright and jimin nodded gesturing towards the shivering form in his arms.

"Look, brother is here." he whispered again into her ear. Jimin backed out giving some space for Hoseok to speak to Naaila. The king immediately pulled her into a comforting hug as he sighed in relief.

" thank heavens, you're safe." he placed a longing kiss on her forehead and hugged her again. Naaila sighed in contentment as she felt her brother's comforting and warm touch.

"Oh my god, you're awake. What a relief." a sharp voice broke them from their comfort zones. Alana walked in with a warm smile looking at the interaction between the siblings.

" the king was worried about you." she made her steps towards her. She gestured to the servants to help her sit up. After checking on her for a few seconds, she hummed in approval.

" your body is responding well to the medicines, princess. You need to rest and let the wound heal. It was pretty deep." she said and Naaila nodded with a faint smile.

"Thank you, princess kim." she said and Alana smiled back at her.

"See, I told you to trust me, Your Majesty." she turned to hoseok.

"Yes, thank you so much princess kim. I owe a lot to you." the king smiled genuinely.

After a few minutes of talking, Alana decided to go back to checking her patients while hoseok had to go meet the ministers whom he blew off a while ago. Jimin decided to stay back with naaila. As soon as the elders left, naaila pulled jimin towards her who was chugging down water.

"What the hell, naaila?" he cursed when he felt water enter his nose and spilled on his shirt. He turned to her ready to throw a tantrum but silenced himself when he saw the serious expression.

Hastily grabbing a napkin and sneezing the water out from his nose, he sits on the edge of the bed with his legs hanging down. He faces naaila and tosses the napkin away.

" Whatever the matter was, I don't see the need for you pulling me down while drinking water. I almost died," he yells at her.

Naaila nods with a small smile playing on her lips.
