"Princess Jung, please come forward. Let Avalon see you." He invites her to the stage. She remains unfazed, her body stiff like a pillar. She could feel the bead of sweat rolling down her spine. Her eyes remain stuck to the ground.

If this is a dream, she wished she would wake up as soon as possible. This is worse than the nightmare of Dwade killing her. Marrying somebody other than jungkook. Did this thought ever cross her mind?

Maybe no. But this is happening for real. She snaps her head when Jimin places his hand on hers and calls out her name softly.

"Naaila, I think you should go there." He averts his gaze and naaila follows him. The retired king was now waiting for her to step up and she could feel the entire crowd's attention and eyes on her. She takes a look at hoseok beside her. His gaze was fixed into space and she could see small beads of sweat decorating his skin.

"You should not disrespect the king's father by disobedience. You should go up there." He speaks without looking at her and naaila just stares at him with her mouth hanging open in disbelief.

"What?" Her voice hardly comes out in a poor whisper.

"You heard me." He speaks again, this time facing her. Naaila could feel the painful knot in her throat, formed by her desperate attempts to stop herself from crying. She could feel the stinging sensation in her eyes but tears didn't fall out.

She nods her head and chuckles abjectly with no humour.

"Right. Disobedience." She takes in a deep breath and stands up from her seat. Not inconveniencing herself with any etiquette, she walks with the same fierceness and bold steps with her eyes on the same level as other men. The audience gasps as she walks to the high end and bows deep in Infront of the old man.

He smiles and nods his head.

"Just like the queen." He affirms and looks at her with a proud feeling inside.

"Does anybody object to the decision of the royal court in choosing Princess Jung as the queen of the prestigious kingdom?" He faces the crowd and then royals as he questions. The crowd goes silent and the royals stay quiet.

"It's decided, the wedding will take place shortly. The high priest of the society will decide the date of wedlock in the next meeting of the royal court." He looks at his son and then at Naaila. He motions for the announcer to continue.

"The king and princess Jung are requested to exchange the rings to confirm the betrothal." Naaila swallowed up a sob erupting from her throat and stood frozen in her place with her eyes focused on the ground below her.

Taehyung approaches her with small steps and stands beside her. He looked at her face which was no more chirpy or bubbly like that in the morning. Her face was pale and gloomy.

Sure, he admitted that he fell in love with her at the first sight and the sudden declaration shocked him. He would have no objection to marry her and accept her as his wife, and also as the queen of Avalon but he would never imagine forcing her into something which she did not like. But right now, it was happening and it looked like he had no say despite having the crown on his head.

"Naalia" he whispers but she doesn't look at him.

"We can stop it here. I don't want to do anything you wouldn't like." He speaks his words softly so that only she could hear him. She smiles softly and looks up at him.

"You think you can do that?" She asks him. Her eyes were no longer sparkling. She observes him. He was almost in the same condition.

"You are not informed about this either. Are you?" She asks and he nods.
