I've been planning to make this ever since I watched Designated Survivor,I had to make sure that the oc I made for this had flaws.you see,I didn't want Sky Kirkman(ill explain more about her soon)to be a Mary Sue:I wanted her to be like her brother Leo but different.so let me explain what the plot for this book is:
Sky Kirkman is at home babysitting her little sister Penny Kirkman,her whole world changed when the capitol was attacked.now she lives in the Whitehouse with her family,and while the rest of her family has already adjusted she hasn't.follow Sky Kirkman as she tries to adjust to her new life in "My Dad Is Now President"
A/N
Sky Kirkman is the second child of Alex and Tom Kirkman,meaning that she and Leo are kind of the same age.she's different from her brother,she's extremely smart and always tries to make their little sister Penny feel better when she's sad.sometimes she reenacts the entire muppet show for her sister just to get her to feel better,she always gets straight A's at school but has very few friends.she does have a girlfriend but didn't tell her parents,brother,or sister about her yet.she's got a pet snake that isn't poisonous,she named him Johnny Lawrence after the character from the Karate Kid movie.Sky has thought about joining politics like her dad,and now it looks like she'll have to help her dad out now that he's president
Sky's pov
"Skyyyyy,I really wanna talk to daddyyyy."Penny said,she was supposed to go to bed but she wanted to talk to dad again."but Penny,sweet-pea,you already talked to dad."I reminded her,"yeah but I want him to tell me a story."she said.i sighed,"how about I tell you a story?"I suggested."can Kermit sing me a song?"she asked excitedly,I smiled."ok fine,but only if you get into bed."I compromised,she nodded excitedly and got into bed.i gently tucked her in,"ready?"I asked her.she nodded excitedly and eagerly,I chuckled.i gently grabbed the Kermit muppet I fixed up,once I was ready I cleared my throat.

She yawned and snuggled up with her seal plush,but as I was about to continue there was a frantic and rough knock on the door."huh?"i said,I took the Kermit muppet off of my arm and placed it in Penny's bookshelf.i quickly walked down the stairs and unlocked the door,I opened it and revealed Mike!"Mike?what are-"he cut me off,"we need to go now,grab your sister."he said urgently."b-but-"I stuttered,"What's going on?"Penny asked.i turned around and saw her,still holding her seal plush."Penny,we gotta go ok?"i said,"Are we seeing daddy?"she asked excitedly.i gulped,"uh,yeah we are."I lied."Mike take her to the car,I need to quickly grab something."I said,"but we need to go now Sky."he said urgently.
"b-but I can't leave without Johnny."I reminded him,"he'll be fine,we'll make sure he comes with you."he reassured me."b-but-"he cut me off,"we need to go."he said sternly.i gulped and nodded,I followed Mike out of the house and to the car.i buckled Penny in first before getting in the car myself,I was going to close the door but an agent did it for me.i was so confused and didn't know what was going on,I wanted to ask Mike and I tried to but he didn't want to tell me in front of Penny.so that means that whatever is going on is serious,I looked out the window and nearly threw up,the capitol....it's been blown up.
