Ares
"What in the hell... is this place?" I turn to Sir as he rummages through the under department of the seats in the back.
"This is the address that was on the letter." Sir looks around at the abandoned hospital. "We gotta be prepared for anything." I nod and look at Eros as he looks around and holds a bag in his hands.
"You okay?" I ask waking up to him.
"Yeah... just... worried, I guess."
"About what...?"
"What's inside there." I hum and grab his hand.
"Let's go." Sir hands me the first aid bag as he grabs some blankets and we begin walking. We arrive at the door and Sir knocks. Eros shivers making me look at him briefly. When no one answers sir opens the door and walks inside himself. We follow silently before screams and cries can be heard. Sir looks at us before continuing forward. He looks into various cages we pass as we continue down a long, dark hallway. The air is heavy and smells of blood, sweat and musk. Sir gasps and turns to us grabbing our heads. Eros and I startled as he makes us look at him. He switches his eyes between the two of us as he gulps. "Please please don't look in that cage. Just look at me, okay?" Eros and I nod as sir slowly let's go of us. He steps backwards as we step forward. We make it past the cage making Sir exhale. We stop at a door to another floor as Sir gets out the letter he was sent. "It says that we need to look on the fifth floor." He looks at the door, "and should find two boys who are active and alive. It doesn't say what shift they are, tho." Sir sighs. "Come on then." He opens the door and we resume. We hear more screams making Eros jump and bend over. I wince in worry as he vomits. Sir rubs his back as he straightens.
"Are you okay?" Eros nods glumly. Sir gives him a piece of gum. "J-just startled." I try to smile and grab his hand again. We walk up to the last cage on this floor and Sir gulps. He walks up to it first as he puts his hand out to stop us. "Oh god," Sir works on opening the cage as Eros and I walk up to him. I gasp as I look inside and begin to help. We slowly walk inside and be careful of our steps. "Hello?" Sir asks to the sleeping boy in the corner. I look at the tail that follows him and takes up a lot of space. "Can you hear me?" The boys eyes focus on Sir as he wheezes.
"I...." Sir kneels beside him but stops shortly.
"Is that the other boy?" He asks looking at the snake shifter. "Is he okay?" The boy shakes his head.
"He fell asleep after...."
"After what?" The boy shakes his head. I kneel down and open the first aid bag. I hold up a wrap.
"I'm gonna put this on the really big cuts." I nod to his torso. He nods and looks down at the other boy who groans.
"H-he will get scared." I look up at his gold eyes, "t-they hurt him really beg this time."
"It'll be okay. We're here to help." The boy slowly sits up more with Sirs help. Eros moves around and slowly pulls the other boy out of his curled up form. The boy groans and Eros freezes. I finish up with the snake boy and look at the other boy. I look at all the dirt covering his skin and wince. He has some weird hard objects squeezing his torso. I slowly cover the big wounds on his bare body as sir gives the other boy slow sips of water and covers him up since the room is so cold and is moist with water puddles leaking from the ceiling.
"Ares..." I look at Eros and see him looking away from us. I turn to look at what he's seeing and see something laying on the ground. I frown and notice it is the same texture as the things around the boys torso. I look back at him and gasp. I look between the two for a moment before slowly reaching around his back and pulling my hand away to see it covered in blood. My fingers shake as I look back at the snake boy. He stares blankly.
"He fell asleep after they ripped his leg from his body...." I inhale shakily before asking Eros to roll the boy over some so I can bandage the wound.
"Okay... now that they are bandaged we need to start getting them out of here before whoever has kept you guys here comes back."
"Get us out? To where?"
"To my home."

Venus
"Are you two okay?" I ask Eros and Ares as we sit in the waiting room of our towns medical center.
"I'm fine." Ares speaks as Eros stays silent. I sigh and squat in front of him and meet his eyes.
"Tell me what's going on in that head of yours?"
"I just feel so bad for them. It had to be hell there. And... and they ripped a part of that boy from himself. That..." his nose scrunches, "that's a totally unimaginable pain to go through." I nod and kiss his head as I stand.
"But they will be coming back with us. To our home. With Attlus and Forest. And Lepple and Demy. And you two as well. They'll be much better off. They'll have a new start, Eros. Just like you." Eros sniffles and nods.
"Thank you, sir." I smile softly as he wraps his arms around my neck.
"You're welcome, baby. Come on now... let's go see how they're doing." I stand when I feel Ares tap my shoulder letting me know the doctor is near. Eros sniffles and clings to my side.
"How are they doing?" I ask as the doctor stands in front of me. He is one of the very few shifters in the hospital. I'm always relying on him.
"Well the snake..." he sighs and looks me in the eyes. "Let's go into the conference room and sit down. There's a lot to go over."

We sit around the table and wait for the doctor to begin speaking. "So you told me they were being kept at an abandoned house?" I nod. "Well I suppose that'd explain some of their injuries."
"How was surgery? Did everything go okay?" The doctor nods.
"With the snake boy... he has some deep wounds that we cleaned and stitched up. He also has a lot of old scratch scars. We also examined his tail for anything concerning. He is a snake hybrid and maybe in time can learn to shift between his tail and legs. We took some X-rays because there were some marks on the space where his sheath is and he was complaining of pain. We noticed that there was a lot of damage... most likely do to forced penetration and difficulty during delivery."
"Delivery?" Ares speaks up.
"He is a hybrid, like a lot of us shifters, that can get pregnant even though he is a male. Well... he must have not known what to do when he was to deliver the eggs and that caused some damage. There is a pretty deep vertical scar near the opening making me assume that he or someone else had cut there to try and help. We took out a lot of scar tissue so that should help with the pain. Other than some mental problems all of his physical problems are fixed at the moment. Now the other boy," the doctor clears his throat, "he woke up after we got him into the medical room to put him under and panicked. He kept asking for Ash, which I assume is the other boy, and was trying to stay away from everyone. Once he passed out from exertion we sedated him and began surgery. We patched up the spot where his spider leg was ripped off. Unfortunately he isn't a species where it will grow back. Now we found some bones that needed fixing. Most likely they had been broken but never properly healed. We also found a lot of signs of sexual assault. We will need you to sign some papers and give a report to the police."
"Is the other boy okay now tho?"
"He seemed to have a lot of ptsd before we put him under and that will most likely worsen due to his newer injuries. We have done all we can at the moment." He looks down as a beeping sounds through the room. He stands in panic,
"There's a problem, I must go now."
"Is it with the boys?" I stand and run after him. The other two follow behind me. There are nurses running around a room as we arrive. The doctor walks through and looks at the boy. The snake boy, Ash, is sleepily awake looking at everyone as he holds the other boy against him. Ash's tail is up on several beds and I can see multiple spots have gauze on the scales. The other boys sons loudly into his neck as he trembles. He's curled up against Ash hiding him face with one of the blankets. I can see the cause around his torso is seeping blood most likely due to the sudden movements. A nurse turns to the doctor and us.
"He had woken up and began to panic. He immediately cried out for this boy and began getting up. We tried to get him to stay down because of his injuries but he would not listen. He fled the room and this is where we found him." I sigh and grab the doctors arm.
"Let me try to talk to him." He nods with a shrug and makes everyone but Ares and Eros leave. I walk up to the boys and smile at Ash.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He swallows,
"Sore, but good. I'm so glad to be out of that place." I smile as I notice the other boy still,
"I bet you are. You'll be out of here as well and back to my place. You'll have your own room and everything."
"With food?" I chuckle,
"With all the food you can eat, 24/7." He laughs lowly.
"You hear that, Arachne? We're gonna have a real home that has food and warmth." I look at the boy and see his eyes on me from his spot against Ash's neck.
"Your names Arachne, huh?" I smile, "my names Venus," I hold out my hand to my boys. "And this is Ares and Eros. They're a part of your new family... if you'll have us, of course." He looks up at Ash.
"This is good. We're getting a new start. We don't ever have to see those people again or go back to that place. I have a good feeling about this, Arachne. Please please trust me." Arachne sniffs and nods before laying back against him.
"Hey, Arachne... you ripped open your stitches some. Can I redress your wound for you?" Arachne immediately tenses. "Hey, I'm not going to hurt you. I know how it feels to have a part of you ripped off... literally." Eros takes off his shirt and turns around. "You see this scar?" He reaches his arm up and touches near his shoulder blade. "I had another set of wings there. But some mean guys took them from me. I know how to be careful. Let me do it for you before it gets infected." Arachne hesitates but after some persuading from Ash he nods and slowly sits up. I smile at Ash as he looks up at me.
"When are we going home?" My heart jolts,
"Soon."
