Hiding The Truth

Chapter 4-News

*N.P.O.V*

I took one last glance at Sylvia before mentioning my news to her. I just hoped she'd be happy.

I finally took the time to continue. "well i know that people have been bugging me to do this for a while so-" i left a small pause before continuing on. "So I'm auditioning for X-Factor UK. " i looked around the room and everyone had large smiles plastered on their faces. The next thing i knew was that Sylvia was embracing me into a large bear hug. "finally." she whispered in my ears.

"Im so proud of you." said Mrs. Taylor. Throughout the years me and Sylvia  knew eachother, her parents became like my second family.

"Thanks," i mentioned quite eagerly.

"Well I'm also proud of my baby boy." said my mum.

"Mum please stop." i said hiding a smile.

"Why should I? If i didn't fill out your application you wouldn't have this opportunity." replied my mum with a wink.

I looked around the table and saw Sylvia and her parents laughing quietly at my embarrassment .

"Well time for our announcement." replied Mr. Taylor literally bouncing gout of his seat.

"Well, for starters we're going on a 6 month vacation around the world!" shouted Mrs. Taylor defiantly excited.

The next thing i knew was that Sylvia was choking on her food. Since i was next to her i was lightly patting her back trying to help her stop. She was finally able to speak out a word, "WE?!" she asked a little angrily.

"Yes we. You, your dad and i." replied her mum. I looked over at Sylvia and noticed tears in her eyes. She was always quite sensitive but rarely showed it. 

"I don't wanna go, Mullingar is my home and that's how i like it. I do NOT wanna be traveling around the world for 6 months. Everything i ever need and need to see is right here in Mullingar." she said on the verge of crying. Before she could say anything she mentioned a quick "sorry" before running out of the room.

Mr and Mrs Taylor seemed sorta upset and disappointed. I did what my first instinct was and ran after Sylvia. I found her on the couch seated quietly in the living room. I sat down next to her and pulled her into a friendly hug.

"shh its ok." i said soothingly to calm her down.

"No Niall its not! I don't wanna leave my home for half a year. I don't wanna leave you because i- I.."

"you what?" i asked waiting for a reply.

"I-I, love you Niall. Not just as friends, alot more." she finally hiccuped out. She loved me. And in the way i felt to. I was about to tell her i loved her too when we were interrupted.

"Sylvia," it was her parents, "We talked it over with Niall's parents, we do not want to force you to do something you don't like so we talked it over and decided that you can stay here with the Horan's while we go on vacation. But you must be on your best behavior or they will ship you to where we are at that moment. " when they finished i noticed Sylvia had stop crying. She leaped away from my arms and into her parents.

"Thank You! Thank You! Thank you!" she shouted hugging them both tighlty to the point i thought their lungs would burst.

She eventually detached from her parents grip and went to hug my parents thanking them too. She did the same yelling thank you over and over again which caused me to laugh at her awkwardness. Sylvia then pulled from my parents embrace and sat back down on the couch next to me. I knew that this would be the best 6 months of my life and i will finally tell Sylvia I loved her back. Unless this whole 6 month stay back fired and i would loose my all time best friend.
