Chapter Seven: Helping Hands
I shrieked as the fire crawled closer and closer.
Jake had collapsed for no reason. But I didn't want to kill him or die myself!
I got an idea in my head.
I grab some wet moss from a tree. I wrapped both of us in the mossy blanket and we ran through the flames.
I fell and coughed. I walked, dazed to a bush and threw up my midnight snack.
After I walked to Jake and saw a big lump on his arm, I knew it was not Tracker jacker but a creature call deadbeat, a deadly bug that could kill you if you didn't have the right herbs.
I had a herbalist kit and I found the herbs and made a concoction and forced it down Jake's throat. I then got a bandage and wrapped it around his arm.
A girl ran in and I gasped. She had her weapon ready. "No! Don't! I saved your ally." I cried.
I pick the bottle that has the concoction in it, tossed it to her, and said, "Give a pea sized amount to him every 12 hrs, good luck."
Then I ran.
