The whole newborn fighting was about to take place all that was missing was the newborns themself.

Not long after ten minutes of waiting they finally appeared. and me not being one to wait I charged after them with the other following suit and the shifters bringing in their surprise attack.

I was slaughtering newborns left and right, burning them along the bays as the others tore their limbs and the shifters bite their heads off.

We made a fire pit as the last of them was tossed or what was to be the last but a newborn was hiding and jumped out going to attack Leah but I shoved her out of the way and light myself on fire right as the newborn grabbed me. the sound of their short scream filled the air as I went back to normal.

"Nice going Kaylyn," Esme says

I nodded and looked over at Leah before I hear Eddy dumb and nose a rella approach

"We killed Riley & Victoria," Eddy dumb says

"good job Seth," I say to him and give him a scratch before walking over to the others.

"They are coming," Alice says

"Shifters must leave they won't understand you being here," Carlise tells them

So they take off while the newborn Esme & Carlise are wanting to help is slightly hiding.

"They will rid of her, fair warning," I tell Esme

which makes the girl cower behind them both.

"We will see what happens," Esme says

" there here," Alice says

Four of the Volturi guards who make up the Elite guards walked through the trees and stood before us. three of the four uses two hands to move their hoods while one uses a single hand.

I looked between the two on either side of the twins and felt the one feeling I've longed for. the mate bond. and I had it finally with two Volturi guards.

"Impressive...I've never seen a coven escape an assault in this magnitude intact," Jane says

"We were lucky" Carlisle speaks

"No, you have two very experienced vampires who know how to fight and beat newborns" I replied

"It appears we've missed an entertaining fight," Alec says

"It was one for the books" I commented

"I'm sure," he says

"I know Felix would've enjoyed the pleasure of crushing newborns and watching them burn as well as the rest of you," I say

Felix only smiles just like Demetri was doing.

"It's not often we are rendered unnecessary" Jane says

"if you'd arrived half an hour ago you'd have fulfilled your purpose," Eddy dumb says

"Pity," Jane says and then her eyes trail over to Bree

 "You missed one," she says

Jasper moved over towards Bree as if to protect her which wouldn't be smart at all.

"We offered her asylum for her surrender" Carlise verbalizes

"That's not yours to offer," Jane says

then looks back at Bree and questions her but when Bree doesn't answer she makes the girl feel like she's burning from the inside while Esme tells jane she doesn't need to use her power that the girl will answer her.

Bree told all that she knew as she laid on the ground. Then Eddy told them who the creator of the army was and said perhaps you knew her as if he was any dumber than what he already was.

Carlise assures Eddy dumb had the Volturi knew they would've dealt with Victoria themself.

"Felix" Jane says

He moves slightly.

Esme being the motherly type that she is tried to reason with them saying " she didn't know what she was doing" 

Jane stops Felix from moving any further.

Esme then adds "that we'll take responsibility for her"

I honestly couldn't believe this at all. they know the rules about this sort of thing.

"Give her a chance" Carlise adds

"The Volturi doesn't give second chances remember that," Jane tells them

I was inwardly shaking my head at this and mentally saying a told you so in my head not caring if Eddy dumb heard me.

I looked up in time to see Felix walk between Esme and Carlise as he took care of Bree. Her short scream filled the air as had the ones that were beheaded before her had done.

I smiled as I watched him move back.

"Forgetting something?" I asked

Everyone looks at me 

"Are you prepared?" he replied with a question

"give me less than two minutes," I tell him before I take off and gather all that I want to take then write Rosa a brief note then Jasper and Hide them where I know they'd look before I take off with my things.

I met up with my mates and the twins.

"So you're their mate?" Alec asks

"I am" I replied

"Welcome to Volturi, have fun getting past our masters," he says

"vampires can't have another of their coven members mate. it's against the rules they themselves had made and would look very bad if they break their own rule" I say

He smiles and we take off.
