Train Love

Chapter 12

Vinoth's POV

When I met her in the train that day I thought i can make her mine until she said she got engaged. She got engaged with my one and only friend who is with me in every raise and fall.

I know about him more than anyone else. He won't said okay to marriage unless otherwise he liked her. I dont wanna break his heart. I want him to be happy in his whole life. So I decided to stay silent.

He is more important than anyone. More important than my love... who stood infront of me with an expectant eyes. Expecting something from me... some words... words that i wanna tell her for a long time.

Her eyes told me that she likes me. But my friendship didn't allowed me to tell her anything other than 'Congratulations'.

My love ends before even it could begin. Ends at the place where it all starts. Ends with tears in both our eyes as we walks in our path.

But what make me stop breathing is when Nantha came to me and asked me about her.

"Isnt she the one you met on the train? The girl I'm gonna get engaged tomorrow?"

I shocked and no words came out from my mouth. He is in utmost anger showing his flaming eyes to me.

"Tell me... She is your love, right?"

Can't face his fuming eyes anymore I avert my gaze from as I nod slowly. Because I know i can't lie to him anymore when he is this angry at me.

"Then why are staying silent till now?"

"Because.... I don't wanna break your heart"

He laughs so historically which made me thought like I said something wrong .

"Dont laugh at me. I know you like her. That why you accepted this marriage proposal. You cant deny this" I said

"Yes"

When he said yes even though I'm happy for him my heart felt sudden pang.

"Yes I like her.

But

I dont love her

Hear it well

I like her but I dont love her"

A lot of thoughts made me so confuse. I couldn't gather anything in my mind as I stood still on that day when he brings me to his parents. The whole night they argued. But I didnt dare to speak a single word.

His parents always treats me like their own son. That's why I cant face them in eyes. I know it will hurt them. But they're too good to hate me so that they decided call Pooja's parents.

"No... He... he is lying. My daughter is not like that. She won't do that"

I can see the pain in their eyes. Anyone will feel that when the parents of their daughter's future called them on the morning if their engagement to cancel the ceremony.

"Loving someone not such a bad thing Uncle. You have to understand your daughter" Nantha tried to convince them.

"I'm not saying love is a bad thing but"

"But what Uncle?"

"She could have told us" he told while his head hund low. Pooja's mother looked at me with tears welled up eyes. I cant say anything became I know its hurtful to them knowing their daughter loving someone when they arranged everything for her marriage

It took almost half a day to convince them. Even though they are so angry at us they agreed to cancel the marriage. But didnt agreed to our love.

I don't know what will happen to her when they met her. I dont want her to be sad. But I cant do anything.
