Sanyukta wasn't sure what did he really meant by work.

Is this going to be some cliche where he is going to ask her warm his bed?

But the stone expression of his look far away from any sexual thought.

"Can I make one thing clear?" Sanyukta asked politely.

Randhir squinted his eyes in challenge as if asking 'can you even make anything clear?'

"I'm not here for money."

Sanyukta stated truthfully and close the file she had in hand. Randhir saw it but choose to ignore it for now..

"I know you might be thinking I'm some kind of gold digger or something who attached aunt Zara and uncle Zayn to herself because they have money, then you are mistaken." She straight herself up on her feet.

"I had no idea what their financial background is because I never cared.." she was now hovering over his desk while Randhir sat straight in his chair, leaning towards the desk.

"All i want is.. their happiness. I just want them safe and happy." She added.

"Their safety is not at all in question seeing the wealth shining where I look. But if they could be happier if I stayed then I will stay." Sanyukta stated her final decision in clear words.

"I will leave on the same day they will ask me to leave." Saying that she straighten herself again.

Then her eyes fall on the file again.

"And did you really think I would want money in return of taking care of them? It was my job there, in the old age home. But here, it's not my job and I don't have to make it my job. I will do it because I want to do it. I don't want your money. I have my savings and I have a house to live too." Sanyukta informed.

Randhir eyes flick down at the file for once before they came up again with double intensity.

For few minutes nobody spoke, they just stared.

Sanyukta was first to make a move.

She turned around to leave but then she heard the chair move harshly. Her heart beat speed up.

She start walking faster to the door but when she pull the door, it won't move.

A hand came in her view, pressed against the door, just above her head.

She gulped and turn slowly.

She plastered her back to the door while trying to bring distance between them. Randhir eyes were tense when they looked down at her. She just realised how small she is.

"What would you have done, if you waited many years to meet your grandparents. Worked hard, day and night to build an empire for them then Legally prepare everything to get them back from a old age home but when you went to take them back, you found them crying over some another person they  have just  got attached to. They deny to come with you because they can't leave behind the new person they have got fond of. What could anybody do when that same person is now living with them in the same house so that she can take care of them and make them more attached to her. And  now you can't tell her to leave because you never asked her to stay. So tell me what would you do?" There was a different kind of anger in his voice then his eyes..

His eyes look hurt.

"It's not your fault. It's not theirs either." Sanyukta heard a hesitation in her own voice

"I know. Because it's all your fault." Randhir mocked now slamming another palm on the door just beside her. Then his hand slides down to near her neck. Hovering over it for a second before going back into her hair. But he just rest it there on the door.

"Your boss told me that he had warned you about this. He warned you to not make them so attached to you"  Randhir gritted his teeth.

He looked pissed.

"But nobody visited them in years. Not even a phone call. So where was this love from all these years?" Sanyukta tried to make facts clear.

"So it's my fault now?" Randhir made her mouth shut by his question.

You are just jealous.

She wanted to shout these words on his face but she knew what's better to save her life today.

To keep her mouth shut.

Randhir took a deep breath as if controlling his anger, which he really was.

"I can leave if you want." Sanyukta offered politely and genuinely.

She really wouldn't be happy knowing that someone is disturbed by her presence around. She doesn't want any negativity because of her.

"You can't." Randhir mumbled softly taking a step more closer to her but still maintaining a secure gap.

"I want them here and they want you here. So you are going to stay." Randhir had his control back. Sanyukta was sure he must be cursing himself for loosing his control and blurring everything in front of her.

He was hurt.

He was deeply hurt.

He retraces his hands back to his sides .

"Whatever happened in this office today, stays here. In between us." Randhir warned her.

Sanyukta nodded and breath deeply when Randhir stand still.

She inhaled deeply. She like his scent. It was woody and fresh.

She stop herself from dipping her head forwards and take a better sniff. She better leave before she do something stupid.

Without waiting for Randhir to tell her to leave, she open the door and ran.

She made a mental note of never going back there again. The vibes are not good for her body. They made her body warm and cold at the same time.

Thinking about what happened in the office, sanyukta realised that it was normal for him to feel like that. In power. In authority. But sanyukta know it will get better with time. She will try her best to do stand her grounds. Because eventually she know she would have to leave one day, she can't stay here forever. All she need to do now is take a good care of all members of the house.

And

Keep her hormones in check whenever she is near Randhir because God damn it he can drive her insane.

Thank you so much.
