Chapter 10: The Aftermath / Epilogue

Your P.O.V

I woke up on the concrete ground. I still felt half asleep but awake at the same time as if I was still in a dream.

I was back to where I was before.

"What the..." I muttered to myself, feeling confused.

However, with one rub of my eyes, I began to remember a few things.

"Oh my gosh!" I gasped as I then proceeded to run back home which wasn't very far away from the neighbourhood I woke up in.

"Mom? Mom!" I yelled once I found my home and opened the door.

"(Y/n)?" She turned around. "What is it?"

I ran up to her and embraced her in a tight hug.

"Mom, you were right! He is remarkable!" I exclaimed.

"Who?" She questioned, raising a brow.

"I'm so sorry, those stories you told me. I now know that it's important to keep a special balance." I hugged her once more.

"What's all this commotion, Emma?" Dad asked as he came down the stairs.

"Oh, dad! I went to Wonderworld. I met Balan, and-." He cut me off.

"Balan, huh? Seems like you were going through some troubling times. We're sorry if we didn't really notice, (y/n). We truly are."

Dad told me with sympathy in his eyes. I then embraced them both in a big group hug.

"It wasn't your fault. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. But I feel better now, really." I reassured them.

I pulled away and mom began to ask me questions.

"So, was Balan charming?" She smirked, making me blush with her question.

"Mooooommmm." I covered my blushing face with my hair.

She chuckled and tapped my shoulder.

"It's okay. But how was it? Was it magical?"

"...More magical than you would ever believe."

*Time skip*

Before I went to bed I decided to call my best friend, (f/n).

I pressed her contact and the phone began to ring.

Slowly but surely, they then picked up the phone.

"(Y/n)! Are you alright?" They asked, looking concerned.

I chuckled softly. "Yeah, (f/n). In fact, I'm better than alright. I just wanted to call you to tell you that I might take your offer up on becoming a singer."

(F/n) gasped with shock and joy and clapped their hands.

"Yay! I knew you would soon come around!"
