Lucien knew the next morning that Tatiana and his parents scandal had been exposed thanks to the voicemail he had received from his mother and he wasn't shocked that all they were concerned about was their reputation.
He switched his cellphone off before his mother could ring again, he walked out of his office to begin business as usual.

"Yes Marie, I know, I already read it myself and I can't believe it", Victoria said as she paced the living room floor, she couldn't believe that the story had gotten out so fast and it was Marie who had phoned her to tell her all about it.
She couldn't tell Marie that she had already known about it since last night so she told her that she read it herself in a magazine and now she was nothing but old news and she hoped she would stay that way.

Lucien on his way home drove past his parents mansion and he saw there were security guards outside the big gate and he sighed with relief that none of the paparazzi knew where he lived but the thought of Sasha came into his mind. He was stupid and careless when inviting her into his home all those months ago and now he knew he had to work fast so she wouldn't tell anyone who wanted to know his address.
He got home and phoned his lawyer who had it all in hand and his thoughts went to Victoria as usual, he walked to her house but this time, he found her waiting for him at the door with a smile.

Victoria kissed him as he walked in and she closed the door, "the secret has been exposed so I have been told", she said as she wrapped her arms around his waist, she felt Lucien pull her closer and he wrapped his arms around her. "Yes, I was shocked seeing they exposed it early but I suppose the tabloids and magazines need some excitement."
She couldn't help but chuckle at that but she looked up at him with concern, "what about your parents?" Lucien pulled his cellphone out from his pocket.

"This has been switched off for most of the day, my mother has been calling me a lot", he grimaced, "they could ruin so many lives and they wouldn't care just as long as their reputation is still intact" he said bitterly. He closed his eyes as Victoria's touch kept him grounded and that was what all he needed.
"My parents only goal in life is to have as much money as possible and they even sold a child just to keep that going so they wouldn't their business and their reputations." He shook his head, "not once did they think of what might have happened to that child and as for Tatiana, she has kept very quiet through all this."

Victoria hated seeing him like this, she leaned her head on his shoulder, "just be pleased that all of this is now out in the open and don't let your parents take over your life." She cuddled him, "you're right", she heard him as he sighed, "I've got my lawyer working on sharing out some of the stocks to Callum", he smiled at the thought of his younger half brother who was wanting to know him.
Victoria chuckled as she ran a hand through his hair, "you're known as the bad boy in these tabloids and magazines but only if they could see and hear you now."

Lucien laughed, his face no longer looking tensed and angry, "well you're known as the bad boy tamer", he watched Victoria's mouth open and close. "I was expecting something a lot worse than that", she chuckled, feeling surprised, Lucien kissed her gently, "maybe one day, you will like to be know as the tamer who marries the bad boy".

Victoria smiled happily, "I would love nothing more to marry you", Lucien smiled at her words, he had never felt so happy, "I want to propose to you properly with a ring, fireworks, champagne and flowers".

Victoria shook her head, "you proposing to me without all that is more than enough." Lucien smiled as he kissed her hand before going down on bended knee, "Victoria Parker, my beautiful tamer, the love of my life, will you do the honor of being my wife."

Victoria caught her breath at the emotion in his eyes and his words, she felt tears of happiness as she nodded, "yes I will be your wife", she giggled as he stood up and spun her around the room.
He placed her down and kissed her heavily, she moaned as she kissed him back.

Lucien had never thought he could be happier but he was, "the wedding will be when you want it and how you want it."  He frowned when Victoria shook her head, "no we will do this together because it is your wedding too and I don't want to wait to get married".
Lucien grasped her hands, "okay then but first we are not doing anything until I get you an engagement ring", he chuckled to himself, "wait right there."

Victoria watched with bemusement as he went quickly to the front door and then came back only a couple of minutes later with a small red velvet box. He handed it to her and she looked at him, her big eyes in shock and she then slowly opened it to find a silver engagement ring. She gasped as he took it out and slid it on her finger and then kissed it.
"It's so beautiful", she said, not believing that this was actually happening, she put her arms around him and kissed him.

Lucien knew that ring was so right for her, he saw it as soon as he had received his first note from her and he knew he had to buy it and now he knew why, "now we can get on with our wedding", he said laughing as she pushed him down onto the sofa and as they kissed, he couldn't believe he went from being upset and lonely to being happier than ever and it was all to do with his sexy little neighbor.
