'Dear Eren,
Where are you? Have you moved on? Are you really gone? No. I won't accept it. If I do, that'll make it a reality. You're not gone...you're just trying to find your way back to me. Well I promise you, I'll be here waiting for you as long as you need me to, but please just come back, please....'Mikasa laid the letter down at Eren's tombstone, she visited it daily , three times a day, seven days a week. Her biggest hope was that Eren would find her, the how didn't matter, he just had to get to her.
"Been a while hasn't it?"
"Oh!" The ravenette jumped, startled by the man in the army uniform, "um I'm sorry I didn't see you there,"
"It's alright Mikasa," she stared at him in confusion wondering how exactly he knew her name, "harsh, you've forgotten me already..."
"I'm sorry... My mind's been all jumbled up and I've just had a lot to deal with..."
"Ah it's okay, I completely understand; nonetheless, my name is Jean... Jean Kirschtein, but um... the ladies call me Kirschandsome," the ravenette began to laugh shyly as the stranger awkwardly scratched his head, "that wasn't that clever, was it?"
"No, not at all, but nice try... I'm sorry, still doesn't ring a bell though"
"It's fine, I didn't expect you to remember me anyway" Mikasa gave him a warm smile and looked down toward the gravestone. Her face suddenly lost all feeling, she seemed like a weeping statue, cold and blank yet heavy with emotion.
"It's been a while... But he'll come back, one day... I know it..."
"Mikasa, It's been four years..."
"What's your point Mr. Kirschtein?" She snapped.
"Don't you think it's time for you to let him go? Dwelling on these kinds of things don't satisfy the dead, it hurts them," he exhaled slowly as he finished his sentence, knowing he had struck a nerve.
"Maybe so, " she backed away from him, her face red with fury, " BUT YOU CAN'T TELL ME HOW TO LIVE MY LIFE!! IF I WANT TO WAIT FOR HIM, I WILL... AS LONG AS IT TAKES, UNTIL THE DAY I DIE!"
"You're right, I'm sorry, that was rather insensitive of me, after you've seen as many horrors as I have, you get hardened and don't think of the way others might react."
"I'm going to go Jean...I would say it was a pleasure seeing you, but you've left a bitter taste in my mouth" the ravenette turned to leave but the soldier caught her hand and held it firmly in his own. She turned towards him, glaring into his eyes furiously.
"I need to ask you something before you go..." he whispered softly.
"What?" She was cold and her voice was hard, yet it quivered with a sort of pain and melancholy bitterness.
"Mikasa...will you go out on a date with me?"

"WHAT?! He asked you out on a date?! What did you say?!"
"Well Sasha, after he insulted me and told me to forget of the thought of my fiancé EVER coming back, I said yes! Seriously?! What do you think I said?!"
"Well I hope you would've said you'd at least think about it!"
Mikasa scoffed at her best friend's absurd comment, appalled at the fact she could even condone such rude behavior, "I'm not so desperate as to do such a thing, plus Eren is out there! I know he's alive...he's out there waiting for me...I have to-"
"Mikasa," Sasha grabbed the ravenettes hand, clutching it to dear life as if she were to lose her best friend if she were let it slip away, "this Jean guy's right...I'm not so sure that Eren's ever going to come back...you need to get out there again and live your life, he wouldn't want you to sulk around, agonizing until his return. You're going to say yes...please for me..."
