Chapter Fourteen: Contest Day 1

AN: ^-^ this story is coming along so well and I'm extremely satisfied with this! I have a swim meet this weekend so updates may be a bit slow😬

TIME SKIP TO CONTEST (I have no content to write about till then Sorry!)

Drew's POV
I woke up at 7:00am and began getting ready for the contest that started at 9:00am. Then I remembered to send a text to May to remind her to wake up and get ready.

I went to the bathroom to change into my contest clothing. I didn't really mind the fact that you had to dress up for contests. I changed into black dress pants, a black dress shirt and tied a blue tie.

I also slipped a green tie into my pocket for the battles round of the contest. Then I grabbed my pokéballs and put the seals on them. May had demanded that we both used seals for the contests in Kalos.

It was already 8:00am by the time I was done all of that so I decided to wake Gary up. I shook him awake and told him "Time to get ready to cheer us on in the contest" He groaned and trudged to the bathroom to get ready.

I assumed that Misty and Ash were awake by all the screaming I heard from down the hall. Dawn would obviously get Paul up in time to get ready. May and Leaf were most probably up already.

I cooked a quick meal of bacon and eggs for Gary and I for breakfast. "I smell food" Gary stated. "You're just like Ash in the mornings" I replied. He rolled his eyes and we sat down to eat breakfast.

8:30am flashed on my watch screen so Gary and I went to go knock on the other doors. I knocked on May and Leaf's door. "We're coming!" I heard May yell. There was a lot of noise and then May finally opened the door.

There was no way I would admit it to her but she looked absolutely amazing. She was wearing a tight fitting strapless light blue dress that ended at mid-thigh. "Looking good Air Head" I told her. "Not bad yourself Grass Head" She replied.

Leaf joined us at the door and we stepped into the hall. May shut the door and the others joined us. "Ready to go?" May ashes everyone. She was holding a small bag in her hands and she led us out the door of the Pokémon Centre.

We reached the contest hall after navigating our way through lots of buildings and main streets. "We'll be cheering you on from the stands!" Ash exclaimed.

Ash, Misty, Paul and Gary headed towards the stands to sit down. May, Leaf, Dawn and I went into the waiting room. The contest should start any minute and I was excited.

May was sitting beside me and I could feel her shaking. Nervous as always I thought to myself. "Don't be nervous we'll do great" I told her. "I'm not nervous" She replied. "Then why are you shaking" I stated.

She glared at me and we sat in silence as we waited. Dawn and Leaf continued chatting as I looked around the room at the other competitors.

"WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE LUMIOSE CITY CONTEST!!!" We heard the announcer Marian exclaim. The crowd was cheering like crazy when the all the lights in the stadium lit up at once.

"IS EVERYBODY READY?!" She exclaimed. "YEAHHHHH!" Was all you could hear from the audience and lots of loud cheering.

"THEN LETS GET STARTED!!!" Marian exclaimed. The crowd roared and Marian introduced "Please welcome our first pair of coordinators Jennifer Callahan and Amy Callahan from Vanville town!"

The two sisters appeared on either side of the stage and called out "Go Vaporeon/Jolteon!" Their two Pokémon came out with showers and lightning bolts out of their balls.

Let's just say I didn't really pay attention to everyone else who presented until Marian announced "Next up will be Dawn Bleritz from Twinleaf Town and Leaf Green from Pallet Town!"
