Chapter 34

*next week*

I was twenty eight weeks pregnant when I wake up in the middle of night becouse of weird pain. That wasn't strong pain but still sthis wake me up. I sat in bed and wait. In the few seconds pain was gone.

I thinked that this is probably just my son moving inside me again and I lay down. I fell back asleep. But after a several dozen minutes I woke up with the same pain again. 

I put my hand on my stomach but didn't felt any bigger move than delicate that was always there. 

I looked on Rhys and consider if I should wake him up. I knew that this probably nothing and even if this is a labour this will be lasted for some time. After I remembered how hard day my mate has and that he came back late in the night I decided to do not wake him. 

I knew that if this is labour he will be mad on me that I didn't woke him in the second when I felt the first contraction. I also knew that he will do nothing to me if this is nothing but I still decided to lay down and wait. 

This time another pain came closer. Still this wasn't something really painful and I knew that there will be really long time before labour would really start. 

I looked to the window and saw that the sun is starting to rise. I knew that Rhys will wake up soon anyway so I decided to do this.

I kissed him in cheek "Rhys" I whispered

He immediatly woke up and looked at me "Yes, darling? Is something wrong?" He asked a little panic. I felt a little guilty becouse of that.

"I am fine but I think that I had-just a small one-contraction." I said to calm him but this did a opposite of that

"Do you need something? Should I go for Madja now?" He started to asking me questions that fast that I couldn't even answerd

"Rhys!" I interupt him "I am fine. Don't need to call for her just now. She will be here anyway in few hours and my contractions- if they are contractions becouse I am not sure- are separate by thirty minutes. I will be in labour in a dozen hours." I calm him down and he relaxed a little.

He kissed my forehead and said "I am sorry darling. I shouldn't panic"

"You had every right for that." I calm him down touching his cheek

He kissed my hand "Do you want to rest? You will need some sleep. Or you can't sleep becouse of pain? Can I do anything for you?"

I laughed a little "Calm down Rhys really. I will get some sleep in a minute and you should too. I don't need anything. Maybe just my calm and well rested mate"

He kissed me again "I am sorry. I will get some sleep when you fall asleep." He said

A few second after I was laying in my mate arms. I fell asleep like that.

I was waking up and falling asleep multiple times becouse of pain. I didn't wake Rhys again until it was half hour before Madja will come.

"Rhys" I whispered. He immedietly woke up and looked at me worried. "I am fine" I explained "Just Madja should me here in half hour and I though that maybe you want to dress up"

He kissed me "Good point darling. How are you feeling?"

"Most of the time I am good" I answerd

"And how are concrations?"

"Getting closer I think. And a little more painful but I am still fine. They are not bad yet." I smiled to covered how worried I was. I knew that they will get worse but I was trying not to panic yet.

"It is fine that you are scared my love" Rhys said and sat down in my side. He pulled my hair from my face. "But remember that I and Madja will be here all the time to help you"

I kissed him and he went to wardrobe. Almost in the same second when he came out Madja knocked to the door.

"Hello High Lady, Lord. How are we feeling today?" She asked with smile. 

This was the first time that I have something to said her. "I think I am having a contractions"

"How often, from when and how strong they are?" She came and started to examinate me.

"I don't sure if this is this even"

"Yes these are contractions" she confirmed

"I started having them in the middle of night. They are getting closer but still around twenty minutes. A little painful but they are fine." I explained. In the same time I felt relief and worries. 

I wanted my baby to be in the world but I was scared of giving birth.

My thinks was interupt by another contraction. This time this hit a little stronger and I grimaced. I tried to cover that but Madja was already holding hand on my stomach and Rhys was holding my hand.

"I am fine. This one was a little stronger and that surprise me but this still is bearable." I tried to calm Rhys down

"High Lady will be fine My Lord" Madja said "Active labour should came today but probably in the night or morning tomorrow." Oh god this will be soo long "By this time try to get some rest becouse active labour would need a lot of strong."

"How long would active labour lasted?" Rhys asked and looked at me worried. 

"I will got this Rhys don't worries" I tried to  calm him down

"This how long will this go throught depends on many things. This can be from ten minutes to even several hours." Madja explained. I tried not to worry but I didn't know if I can get through so much pain in one day.

"So I will pray for these ten minutes" I laughed. 

Rhys kissed my forehead with smile "We all will" 

"If this is going so long I don't require you to be here intire time Madja" I said "I will be fine and Rhys will go to you when something happend"

"I will still check on you every hour." Madja said and left the room

"You don't need to be here all time too you know?" I told to Rhys "you can tell the others what is happening if you want"

"I will rather stay with you" He said "You need rest and food. I am going to prepare something for you and then I want watch you sleep."

I was happy that he refused leaving my side. I really wanted him to stay but didn't want to force him to.
