"I found it. After so long.. I.. I finally found it."
The young man found the glowing genie lamp, and ecstatically grabbed it, laughing about his triumph.
"I, Drew, the brave and noble nobody, will soon become the richest man in Clozytown!" he yelled, holding up the golden lamp, though there was no one to hear or see.
Drew lowered the lamp, and looked at it puzzlingly. "But first, how the hell do I get the genie out of it?"
He ran his fingers over it, admiring the intricate gem designs. Suddenly, the lamp started shaking, and it jumped out of his hands.
Drew backed up and fell to the ground, afraid of how the lamp suddenly began to move.
Soon, the lamp stopped shaking, and teal mist started coming out of the spout.
The mist began to form the shape of a humanoid figure, with light teal skin and dark teal wavy hair. She had a star intertwined in her hair, and wore a pink top with long sleeves.
Once the figure stopped forming, she opened her eyes, which she revealed to be a dark, stormy gray color.
Drew gulped, and cleared his throat, and spoke to her. "Are you the almighty Genie, who grants the wishes to all those who ask?"
The genie nodded. "I am," she said, smiling.
Drew grinned, and stood up. "Oh sweet Rosy, I found it," he murmured.
The genie looked at him, cocked her head, and asked "Isn't there a wish you would like me to grant? That is my job, after all."
Drew smiled. "Oh, I have many wishes," he said.
"Good," replied the genie. "But, you have to make sure your wishes follow these three rules.
"One, you can't ask for immortality.
"Two, you can't ask for death upon yourself.
"Three, you can't ask to find true love."
"Easy enough for me to follow," said Drew. "Do I have infinite wishes?"
The genie nodded.
"Do I have the ability to wish death upon other people?"
The genie nodded once again.
"Can I wish anything were to happen to you?"
The genie hesitated, then nodded again.
Drew grinned. "Well then," he said. "I wish to be the richest man in Clozytown."
The genie had no idea what he meant, she doesn't know what "riches" are, or where "Clozytown" was. Heck, she doesn't know much about anything. But, she didn't need to know anything. She just had to trust that the one wishing knew what they were talking about, and when she snapped her fingers, the wish would come true.
She snapped her fingers, unaware of what she had done. "There," she said. "Wish granted."
Drew was very happy about this. "Oh!" he exclaimed. "I also wish to have a fancy mansion in Clozytown!"
The genie snapped again, still unaware. "Done," she said.
Drew smiled. "This is incredible," he said. "Is it okay if I take you home with me?"
The genie wasn't quite sure what he meant, but she nodded anyways.
Drew did a small fist pump in the air, and grabbed the lamp, as the genie faded into mist and went back into the lamp.

"Where did this house come from?"
"Was it here before?"
"Jeez, its so gorgeous!"
Drew arrived to his home in Clozytown, lamp hidden under his robe, to find the townsfolk gawking at the mansion the genie built in the blink of an eye.
"Who do you think built it?"
Drew smirked at the gullible townsfolk. "I did," he said, loud enough for the crowd to hear.
The crowd turned to him.
"You built this mansion overnight, by yourself?" one hollered, disbelieving.
Drew nodded his head, with false proudness on his face.
The crowd murmured.
"It must have taken the entire night to build that!" one cried out.
Drew shook his head. "It just took a few seconds."
"How?!" yelled out one.
Drew wiggled his fingers. "Magic."
The crowd murmured some more.
"You don't have magic, do you?" asked one.
Drew nodded. "Don't you know? I'm part genie!"
The crowd gasped.
"Thats right! At night, when my power is full to the brim, I can make something happen, with the snap of my fingers!" Drew said, proudly.
The crowd started talking excitedly.
"You load of baloney!" cried one person, who refused to believe that this young man could be part genie. "Prove it!"
"I can, and I will," said Drew, smirking. "What do you want me to do? I only accept wishes following these rules:"
"One, you can't ask for immortality.
"Two, you can't ask for death upon yourself or others.
"Three, you can't ask to find true love.
"Four, you can't ask for multiple wishes a day. I am exempt because I am part genie. You can have a second wish the next day."
The man thought. "I would like my house the be two-story instead of one," he said.
"Can you make my crops be fully grown?" asked a woman eagerly.
"Can you make me taller and have blonde hair?" asked another man.
"Your wishes are my command. In the morning, you'll find your wishes are granted," said Drew, smiling confidently.
"Lets hope so," said the reluctant man.
❈
Sure enough, the townsfolk awoke to find the house of the reluctant man had grown a story taller, the crops of the woman had grown up overnight, and the short man was now half a foot taller and his hair was a straw gold.
Since that day, they crowned Drew king of Clozytown, because of his magic abilities. He used his powers yo make a castle, which he lives inside.
But hidden in a room that is forbidden for anyone to enter, is the genie and her lamp. In that room, King Drew comes in every night to ask her to grant everyones wishes.
And the genie does so, without considering first, or asking why Drew has so many random needs.
But little do either of them know about the man who will come in, and change their lives forever..
